Huh, funny that the 3 longest government shutdowns have all been when a Democrat was in the Oval Office ('78, '95-'96, & '13). I don't align myself with either party, but to throw stones as though this isn't something the R's wrote the playbook on seems silly.

I'm no politcal historian, so I purposefully went no further, as I couldn't speak with confidence beyond there was a Democratic president sitting during the 3 longest government shut downs. '13 was the only one I was old enough to remember anything about. But the point is still that to blame this on one side when it's obviously been a recurring issue used by both sides doesn't leverage any real truthfulness to 'they' don't care about the people, as used in the original post.

EDIT, just saw your edit, but I'll leave this as is, as I'm sure my first post will trigger something in somebody. Yay message boards!

Agreed on the first part. No comparison there. This will fall along the lines of the first Clinton investigation. It will span so far and wide that something will be discovered. Since it's so early in his Presidency, neither resignation or declining a 2020 run will surprise me.

I would actually put money on Trump winning in 2020. The odds at this point must be so infinitesimally small, that his actual odds are certainly higher.

Take advantage of those stupid brits and their books. They were paying out bets on Hillary before the election LOL

For some reason, some young people think that a person over 60 can't get out of the rain. I would have liked to have them today helping me clean out an apartment of someone I had to evict. They left a bunch of junk behind. 20 steps up, 20 steps down, several times carrying pots, pans, clothes, all kinds of trash by myself. Hotter than hell. I should have had the power turned back on before I did it.

Maybe he thought the heat would die down. Flynn had a great background. I hope it turns out he's clean, because it would be unfortunate with someone of his background being a foreign agent. He's supposed to be one of the good guys.

Michael Flynn is probably going to prison. Whether it be as a fall guy, or if he's individually guilty is up for discussion. solidly assured on this.

Remember how during the debates one of the questions was what do you admire most about the other candidate. Hillary said Trumps kids, and Trump said that she never gives up.

I have to give it to them, it's one of the Democrats defining qualities. They never give up. Even when they literally have nothing. They shouldn't have any power right now. They keep losing elections but they don't give up. They fight and claw, and make **** up, and they don't give up. Meanwhile, Republicans fold like a cheap suit. Even though Dem tactics are despicable and the entire lot of them are reprehensible humans, I wish Republicans could occasionally be as ruthless as them
