Ian Bremmer was on Maddow tonight (who is still the only MSM journalist treating Donny-Russia with the attention it deserves), and he said that the two lovers were so sequestered from the rest of the attendants that no one could hear them.
Only Putin's translator present.
1 hour.
Discussing Crimea and the crisis in Ukraine, I'm sure.
Honestly, I think the Trump administration is completely tone deaf. How they didn't realize this the moment it happened is astounding. Under investigation, and, regardless if there was any wrong doing or not, you decide to keep it secret that you met with Putin, without an American interpreter? Amidst Congressional hearings?
I said earlier I'm trying to give Trump the benefit of the doubt on this one, but Jesus. How did any one in his staff think this was a good idea?
As Jim Sciutto just said on CNN, the effect of this undisclosed meeting is that we don't know what was said.
Putin could say anything about it, and we wouldn't know.
Because we literally do not know. And Putin is just as trustworthy as our fartstain of a fake president.
Why do you need two interpreters? I don't see any reason this was a bad idea. The two need to keep open lines of communication to avoid a major disaster in Syria or the Ukraine. And meeting alone is probably helpful because they both try to present a very powerful persona and a no back down attitude. If it's one on one, they can drop the show and get to business

I believe that having two interpreters is a sound protocol. I can see Trump being ignorant to this type of protocol, mainly because he hasn't and doesn't want to take the time learn the nuances of his job. He's a big picture guy. All that said, the media seems to be making more out of this than its worth.
If they spoke the same language what would be the big deal?
Well obviously no interpreter is needed, but it still seems sound policy to have someone else in the room. Over the years, every time I have terminated an employee I would have someone else in the room. Protects me from any outlandish claims by the ex-employee.
Every president has meetings where you don't know what was said. It's been a long accepted fact of foreign policy.
I'm very suspicious of this meeting but I know nothing will ever be know about what was said. An hour is a long time. They obviously had some things to talk about that the rest of America didn't need to know. By not having someone else with him was in his best interest and not ours.
To me this signal that the investigation has destroyed the chain of communications.
Yes, every president has hour-long undisclosed meetings without an American interpreter with the foreign leader who attacked American democracy and got him elected.
Oh, wait, I forgot it was Seth Rich. This is all Seth Rich, so nevermind.
