Things are actually working out quite well for Mr. Pence. Had the investigation finished and it learned that Trump won with the help of the Russians, it would severely have hurt Pence's credibility and chances to win in 2020. Now, with Trump literally about to crawl up into a ball and cry, then quit, Pence will take over and the establishment GOP will find a way to cut all of the investigations short. Clean slate and all.

It always cracks me up when I see someone resort to this as some silver lining to Trump's victory. When I read this what I really read is "I've been completely propagandized."

Had Hillary won, there would be lots of upset people thinking she was the worst president ever - maybe 20% of the population. As it is now, there are lots of upset people thinking Trump is the worst president ever - maybe 50% of the population.

I guess that's a great victory in your eyes.

For me the victory comes in the aftermath of the Trump presidency. Might be messy but no way we get the much needed reset of our political system had the Queen of Crony Capitalism won.
