Difference is, he passed it. Plus, the GOP announced as he was inaugurated that they would not cooperate with him on anything, no matter what.
If the GOP came up with a plan that kept the number of insured the same as now, and created more competition and lower price options, I don't see why the Dems would not be on board.
Again, though, the only way to get this done is to have young healthy people paying in, while they are low cost. Anything else is just kicking the can just a little further down the road.
He signed it without ONE GOP vote. No offer of compromise...and here is Nancy Pelosi's tweet today:
Every single Republican who votes for #TrumpCare will have this moral monstrosity tattooed to their foreheads forever. Every. Single. One.
Does that sound like someone you can get work a deal with?
So it boils down to this: If you like your Obamacare, you can keep your Obamacare.
Never his fault, right?
Why not just say, "We know we have to act. The current system is unsustainable. I shouldn't have pushed this first, but I did it because I really want us to get this corrected. So what I'm going to do is pull the bill now, and arrange some conferences with leadership in both chambers, including Democrats, to see if we can get past our differences and pass a good fix to the system. I'm open to all ideas, let's see if we can get this done."
It's never anyone's fault that's the problem. One day maybe we can hold politicians half-way accountable.
I wish this were true but we all know that the majority will get re-elected. Most people are too lazy to look into who's running for office and just vote who already holds the position. Hopefully that will change in the near future but I doubt it
'Sup? Have you been bundling money for Nunes?
The FBI needs to focus on finding the three million illegal votes.
I've seen some talk of heroes as of late.
In this dark hour, America needs its heroes.
Men of the public that will do their patriotic duty.
They are scarce, to be sure.
Adam Schiff, however, is such a hero.
Who will be the other Good Men, the Optimates, that will join him and save the Republic?
The Good Men, the Men of '17, wherever they may be gathering, will long be remembered.
