Matt Hayes takes a shot at TCHFCATUTK in his column today. Gee, where are all the people who were arguing with me last year when I said the majority of the national media views TCHFCATUTK as an oaf? It's open season and the scribes are having a field day. Wait til Trev Alberts gets going in his new gig at CSTV.

Trev Alberts is a complete idiot, if anyone is putting stock in his opinion of anything other than d line at Nebraska, then they need to check their college football knowledge card at the door.

having said that, i can't imagine that anyone that has been paying attention hasn't seen the national media take shots at CPF over the years....he gets a break by some of the writers in the South that know him, but o/t that, i've seen too many articles written about him that were not in the most positive light.

I'm all for Trev. His attacks on TCHFCATUTK are priceless. I still love how everybody on this board jumped all over Alberts at the start of last season when he said UT would be one of the five biggest busts in college football. How did that prediction turn out?

turned out fine, but that doesn't mean he's not an idiot. If all it takes to impress is to attack a coach, then i guess he's your guy.

but it was a good day when he got the axe at ESPN as far as i'm concerned...now if they could do the same for Lou and Mark May life would be good.

Albert's predictions are as accurate, or more so, as any commentator in college football. People despise him because he speaks the truth. It's not his job to kiss the a$$es of coaches. Mike Gottfried and Lee Corso already have that job locked down. The perfect studio show would have Trev and Spencer Tillman as the analysts.

people despise him because he is blabbering idiot...his prediction about TN being overrated last year not withstanding i don't necessarily remember him being all that great at picking or predicting anything.

I distinctly remember him placing Miami and Michigan in the bust category, again accurate. I heard him on the radio picking Texas over USC. He's right a great deal more than he's wrong.

Alberts was so good, ESPN couldn't even keep him around anymore.

i don't remember that at all. Oh, wait, that's because i quit listening to the blabbering idiot.

the thing about Trev was/is that it doesn't matter if he's right or wrong, most people don't remember WHAT he said, they remember HOW he said it...and the vast majority of the time he sounded like a whiny, complaining, team bashing moron.

Hat, Trev Alberts makes Tom Osborne look like one of the Hells Angels. Talk about sanctimonious dweebs. You cannot, however knock that particular prediction.

I think Trev Alberts has predicted Georgia to when the SEC every year for the last 20 years lol. He has a love obsession with them.

I do miss him and Mark getting into it every Saturday though.

I will grant that he does seem to have an affinity for the Dawgs.
