Good hire for TT imo. It will be interesting to see if he keeps that offensive staff in tact. You know he will completely revamp the defensive side of the ball.

Tuberville, 55, became a strong candidate when it was determined he would not insist on hiring his own staff, the source said. Per ESPN!

So maybe Gran won't go with him!

It wouldn't surprise me if he did make a run at Gran, but I'm betting he'll probably be "encouraged" to keep the offensive staff intact. I like the hire for Tech, I think Tubbs was railroaded at Auburn because he was constantly bickering with the prominent alums.

I really liked Billy Tubbs at Oklahoma. I thought his career was stagnant at this point though. This is a real surprise. Where does Pat Knight go from here?

LOL, I just saw him on ESPN, he looked less than thrilled to be in Lubbock. His response was something to the tone of " well, its something different for me , (big12) so I guess I'm excited about it" Wow- hate to be a TT fan today. Ill take Bobby Knight and Mike Leach guys all day over this assclown.

He'll get it soon enough. Just has to decide whether he wants to play the stoic cowboy role or wear the crazy hat. I think that those are the only two archetypes allowed in west Texas.

upon further review of some tech message boards, Ive come to a few conclusions.

1. Tubbs is not as well received as one might expect.
2. Team Leach is out in full force.
3. They're all scared to death about losing their "air raid" style of offense.
4. Tubbs looked silly with his "guns up" and tech tie. (He almost looks uncomfortable)
5. The James family should really consider getting Adam the hell outta Lubbock.
6. Their "hottie" thread is like a crap shoot. Its purely 50/50 at best.
