Tuesday Night Throw down- Democrat Nominee Debate

I've been studying the polls and betting sites..I think there's a good chance Biden wins SC...TN..AL...MS so if Bloomberg can steal a few delegates in FL and NY...I think that gets us to the brokered convention

I think the dem's waited too long to question Bernie's policy positions and it might come back to bite them. The party is so misguided that it says something that people still support them. They have no core message so to respond to this they claim broad appeal and accept any message that is not conservative. That is what got them Bernie.

I'm getting caught up and watching last night's debate. Good grief these moderators are horrible.

Of all of them left your guy Pete does seem to be the most sane and genuine. I wouldn’t vote for him but he doesn’t seem nuts and it appears Bernie truly scares the hell out of him.

Basically, your guy has no shot.

I don't really think Pete is genuine. I think he is as phony as Clinton, and slick as Obama. He is smart, well rehearsed, and polished, and says what people want to hear. Bloomberg is more genuine and competent in my opinion, but he strikes me as ruthless and is definitely a gun grabber. Bernie is the most genuine of all. He is just an angry 60's hippie.

Pete has done a great job of setting himself up to be the Dem nomination front runner in 2024.

To be fair , Bernie scares the hell out of most sane people . You could make the argument for that to be the litmus test for sanity .

Pence will not run for office IMO. No chance or probably even desire.

Edit; But of course Pence is a political creature and we know how that goes.

Pence has wisely stayed in the shadows and maintained as much separation as a VP possibly could. Smart move on his part in case he does file to run in 2024. He only comes out when he absolutely has to.

Amazing he wasn't shot over the last 10+ years given 150 million citizens were - can't believe we've lost nearly 1/2 the country to gun violence...he literally dodged a bullet

It’s because of that one shot gun he owns, and that one bill he created banning assault rifles and magazines in 94’ that ended because they couldn’t show cause for it to be extended . Joe is a fighter .

I finally finished last night's debate. Some thoughts:

Klobuchar: (B+) Amy had a good night. She wasn't in the discussion as often as the others, but she had some solid answers.
Biden: (D+) Angry man yells at cloud, makes multiple gaffes. Joe just doesn't have it anymore.
Bloomberg: (C-) Much better than last week. I can't stand the guy, but he improved drastically. I think he paid for half the audience to attend, but I digress.
Steyer: (D+) He needs to drop out. Doesn't stand out, and never has. Seems like a nice guy, but no thanks.
Warren: (B-) I really enjoy her going after Bloomberg.
Bernie: (F-) Horrible debate for the Bern. Pete took him to the woodshed. Same crap as always from the Bern, shouting and pointing like a lunatic, never answers questions, openly lies and is evasive. The field should have ganged up on him way more than they did.
Pete: (A+) Pete is always the best debater on the stage, and it isn't even remotely close. He was polite but assertive, spoke about his message eloquently and succinctly, and drug Bernie through the mud. Not his best debate performance, but miles ahead of the rest on stage. Pretty good for a dude with the flu.

Oh, and the moderators were horrible. Yikes.

Nice, unbiased take.
