Since the next game is against a very, very good Florida team and is only 3 days away, does the 4OT game today have much of an impact regarding fatigue and how well we play? You can bet they're going to try and run us hard all game, and Donovan is no slouch of a coach.

I think we are a team on a major high right now, but, I am concerned as to how long we can sustain this recent success.

It's the biggest game of the year. Primetime on ESPN. Against a top 10 team. At TBA, which will be rocking. I ain't worried.

And, I want to add, that I hope we beat the living hell out of them. Good grief, I hate all things Florida so damn much.

This is huge for us. I'm not worried about our emotions, I'm worried about our fatigue factor leading to sloppy play.

We are the hottest team in the conference right now. Florida just lost to Mizzou, who took them down in a game during which the Tigers spent mostly fighting from behind, and much of the time by double digits. No doubt, if we could pull the upset, we are in the conversation for an at large bid in my opinion. Note: I said "in the conversation", not "in".

Which is my concern (and the point of this thread). You can only ride emotion for so long before physically you can't keep up. But, with Mizzou beating UF, maybe that plays into our favor as well.

I don't ever like to suppose a loss before it occurs, but if we come out playing flat and end up losing, I think you will definitely be able to look back and say there was probably some physical and mental mojo missing from tonight's battle with A&M. I would certainly rather that be the reason than losing because we reverted back to the way this team played before the "turn around", what with all the errant passes and questionable decision making that was taking place. None the less, win or lose, it's been amazing to see what this team has been able to accomplish these last few weeks. Night and day.

Oh no, I'm not supposing a loss, I just think fatigue will be a huge factor for us. And I think you hit the same thought in what you said above (bolded).

But yeah, this team is now playing night and day different than they were earlier in the season. Agree 100%.

Fatigue or not, you have to feel good that we have played UF real well in basketball the last 7 years. Just amazing how well we have done considering how good they have been. Crowd must be in it because that will help our team get over fatigue.

I would love it if the Vols beat the Gators! GO VOLS! Would give it to my Gator fans here in Florida! Would be AWESOME to beat a top 5 team in the country and could elevate the Vols toward an NCAA bid and if they win against UF and the remainder of regular season games and win two SEC tourney games!

Pumped about this one. 9pm start time couldn't be better - TBA is going to be rocking. Hopefully we still have UF's number.
