I really wish they had pulled it out against Mizzou last week, because they would definitely be coming into the game with an overdue L.

Still pulling out the W yesterday is huge, as I feel that might have been our "down" game that we were most definitely going to have in the final 6 games.

I'm sure there will be a major melt down if we lose.
All the trolls will return in force.
Don't believe what you read from them about our NCAA chances.
A loss would make Missouri a must win.
Of course, with Martin's tourney luck, this will be the year they only take 3 SEC teams.

I'm not trying to be the annoying "nice opposing fan" who comes to a rival's message board and sucks up to the opposition by denigrating his/her own team, but let's just be honest here:

Tennessee is going to win this game.

We know it. You know it. So why beat around the bush? UT will have a 10-15 point lead at halftime and then push it to 25-30 by the end of the game. The building will explode early and we'll be hearing Rocky Top all night long. This is just what happens when the Gators play UT in basketball.

You guys own us. Green, Buzz, Pearl, Cuonzo....it doesn't matter. The result will still be the same.

I think it's obvious you guys will beat Mizzou in Knoxville, too. Hats off to the Vols for a strong finish to the season. It takes a lot of character to bounce back after some early setbacks and finish at a high level. Best of luck the rest of the way and I hope we avoid you in the conference tournament.

Can't tell if serious. If this were any other year, I would be talking a lot of smack, but UF is so legit this season. If you forced me to put money on the game, I don't think I would pick UT.

I know, not a VFL, but I'm the one that always says "the game is not over, GO VOLS!" Happened a lot yesterday.

Since the next game is against a very, very good Florida team and is only 3 days away, does the 4OT game today have much of an impact regarding fatigue and how well we play? You can bet they're going to try and run us hard all game, and Donovan is no slouch of a coach.

I think we are a team on a major high right now, but, I am concerned as to how long we can sustain this recent success.

“@wesrucker247: Trae Golden said Vols don't need a day off after 4OT win at A&M: "There are no days off at Tennessee. We're gonna go get better tomorrow."”

I'm serious. I learned my lesson last year. You guys own us.

Tennessee just plays a more physical, relentless style of ball that seems to make Donovan's system crumble. It's always a bad match up and it will be again on Tuesday night.

As for the seemingly outlandish score prediction, it's not hard to imagine this one getting out of hand for us. That building will be rocking, the Vols have got some momentum, and everyone in orange is going to be out for blood because of what this will mean for your resume.

This one has beat-down written all over it.

Trying to jinx us. Not going to work.

I don't see how you can't feel good about Tennessee's chances in this one. Huge game though. Interested to see if Florida has any toughness this year and to see if they're capable of doing anything besides launching threes late in the game when it's close.

the guys will be ready they flew and it's only 1 time zone difference...then i'm sure they're doing ice baths/gatorade and i'm sure our SC coach is a beast cause our guys could have gone four more OTs

Lol...I wish it would be a jinx, but unfortunately it's just reality.

And, no, I don't feel we're much tougher than in the past and, yes, we still jack a ton of ill-advised 3's late in the game when it's close. We did it at Arizona and at Mizzou, and it makes me want to punch the TV screen. Especially when it's Kenny Boynton.

Sorry guys, not trying to sound pathetic. We've got a decent team, but I still don't think we're "man enough" to come into Knoxville and win a game like this. Hope I'm wrong.

Don't forget Donovan himself said Tennessee was his pick to win the SEC back in the pre-season and alluded to all of the problems UT could give us when they were playing well. You guys are in our heads.

Buzz Peterson was 3-5 against UF. Granted, for him that kinda was "owning".

Yep. But I'd guess that pearl, green and Cuonzo each have a winning record vs billy D.

I know Cuonzo is 2-0. I think green won more than half. I know we swept them in the year they went to finals. Pearl had a winning record vs billy I know. Although he did drop 2 to fl in final season.

I don't blame you for being a bit worried. Regardless, it should be a great game for both teams. We obviously need the win badly. For Florida it'll be a great learning experience/gut check regardless of the outcome.

I'm hoping your prediction ends up being correct. Florida is ranked #5 for a reason though.

I am shocked! I went back and looked at your posts. You are not like the other 99.9% of gator fans I met.

I'm not sure Florida can win without Frazier and Yeguete. Too many pieces missing at the same time. It's just not Florida's year to make any real noise imo against UT.

We showed what we really are at Arky and at Mizzou.

I think if this team gets to the Sweet 16 we'll be lucky. It's the same song and dance. You choke away games you should win..........look at our last 2 elite eight games from the last 2 years...........all games we had decent leads in towards the end and we choked.

UT should win by double digits easily and then UF will basically be locked out of a 1 seed.

I believe Pearl was 9-3 vs Florida, IIRC.

I doubt we win by double digits. I can see us winning ugly by a point or three, but I don't see us running away with it. Those key players for Florida being out brings the odds to even imo.
