Tulane Back To SEC?

Nah, if the SEC is adding anyone else’s it’ll be for dollars.

I’d rather we add a cultural fit like West Virginia and a North Carolina school but doubt we’d get that.

Any more expansion and just do away with NCAA and go to SEC-48 with 4 regions of 12 teams each and do your own playoff. Just make sure that some of the 48 schools also have great basketball so you can take all the TV revenue.

No chance. SEC already has the New Orleans market and LSU would veto in about 3 seconds.

Yeah, but we don’t have a regional presence in New York or New Jersey.

Easily 2/3 of my classmates were bridge and tunnel kids.

Impressive season, bowl selection and win against USC. Tulane was an original member of the SEC and left in the 1960s. I'd welcome them back over many teams. They are traditionally good in baseball and this would help their football program tremendously.

They are a more prestigious University and Vandie pretends to be them. I'd love to see Tulane stomp Vandie annually....

This would also give us Vol fans an excuse to visit New Orleans for games.....

Who wants to go to New Orleans???

SEC: South-Eastern Conference .... Oregon and Washington will be our next SEC members!

I’m with you and add; send USCe and Arkansas somewhere else as well.

I'm fine with South Carolina and Arkansas in the conference. Missouri and Texas AM still seems very odd to me. Oklahoma and Texas is beyond overkill.

Unfortunately I think expansion is in the works as long as the B10 is expanding. We would look for a school with synergy in tv revenue. Tulane doesn’t do that. My guess is it will include Clemson and someone outside the southeast US. Might include showing Vandy and other revenue dead weights the door.
Vanderbilt will not ever be kicked out of the SEC....They are a founding member and improve academic strength. Only way Vandy leaves is if they decide to leave, and with the cash coming in, I do not see that happening.

More prestigious than Vandy, now that's funny. Vandy # 13

Vanderbilt University's ranking in the 2022-2023 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, #13. Its tuition and fees are $60,348.

Tulane #44

U.S. News’ Best Colleges 2023 edition ranked Tulane No. 44 among the nation’s top National Universities, No. 30 among national private universities and No. 34 among undergraduate business programs.

Ironically at one time Tulane had the largest stadium in the SEC with Sugar Bowl/Tulane Stadium.
