Turner Gil

Amazing how bright Gene Chizik got when Cam Newton stumbled onto campus .

If you happen to be the coach when mr. such and such all-America comes and plays for you, you'll get plenty of credit for it. It's the way it goes.

Gil was touted by some as being a better coach than Dooley. Emain seems to need help with reading comprehension as someone said k state drilling you by 50 at home isn't so bad BC they are on their way back to Snyder era greatness.

You see unsubstantiated attacks in the thread but nothing to back them up. Kpt may have been one of those who said I was wrong that Pearl would get an elite 8 last year or he may be rod delmonicos son and hate the ad but he cannot pretend that Turner Gil looks good at all this year.

Well Dooley looks like a terrible coach at this point as well. I am not saying he'll end up being terrible, but nothing on the field has warranted his trust yet.

So either way, both sides of that argument are losing.

Our only wins are against terrible teams.

Gil also beat Georgia Tech who is 4-2 right now. Kansas has the worst talent level out of any bcs level school and one of the worst in 1-a. To say that he isn't a good coach after 6 games is ridiculous. The cupboard is completely bare there and he has the task of building it back up at a school that doesn't care much if at all about football.

Since Turner Gill took his players cell phones & banned them from talking to girls after 10 p.m. they have been outscored 114 -14.

Can you folks honestly not spell the guys name correctly or are you stockpiling the "L's" to use in future words?

Turner Gil posted a better record than Derek Dooley from '07-'09 and earned a conference championship at a program that is traditionally far worse than LA Tech.

Coaching at Buffalo would be far easier.

Distance traveled by LA Tech:
Hawaii - 4,200 miles
Idaho - 2,200 miles
San Jose - 1,940 miles
Boise - 1,900 miles
Nevada - 1,900 miles
Fresno - 1,800 miles
UTST - 1,630 miles
NMST - 940 miles

They have to visit half of those teams on the road every year. Tennessee for example, the farthest they have to travel is 550 miles to Gainesville every other year. I've said before and I still believe that Louisiana Tech is the worst job in the country. Even worse, the school and job is so bad that they not only allow the football coach to have two jobs, but it was their idea.

To me, one winning season at Ruston is more impressive than multiple winning seasons in Buffalo. That's without factoring in conference location and doing two jobs at once. Jmo.

Cute. Pretty much incorrect, but cute.

Nice facts to back it up.

If I were offered the Buffalo job or Louisiana Tech job tomorrow, I'm going to New York and coaching in the MAC.

:fool:

Have fun going to the program with an all time winning percentage more than a full point less than LA Tech and 16 more losses over the last decade, an FBS record for shutouts in that time frame in the middle of a frigid, barren recruiting wasteland near the Canadian border.

Maybe you're right; who would want to coach a WAC program who happens to be the 2nd most successful football program in a state that produces more D-IA and NFL talent per capita than any other state in the union?

Must be tough for travel, they're the ONLY ones that have it that rough, *cough*USFBostonCollegeHawaiiFlorida*cough*

Cool story, bro.

We could probably beat Kansas by three or four TD's this season.

Check back in next year buckaroo.
