Gil was touted by some as being a better coach than Dooley. Emain seems to need help with reading comprehension as someone said k state drilling you by 50 at home isn't so bad BC they are on their way back to Snyder era greatness.
You see unsubstantiated attacks in the thread but nothing to back them up. Kpt may have been one of those who said I was wrong that Pearl would get an elite 8 last year or he may be rod delmonicos son and hate the ad but he cannot pretend that Turner Gil looks good at all this year.

Well Dooley looks like a terrible coach at this point as well. I am not saying he'll end up being terrible, but nothing on the field has warranted his trust yet.
So either way, both sides of that argument are losing.
Our only wins are against terrible teams.
Turner Gil posted a better record than Derek Dooley from '07-'09 and earned a conference championship at a program that is traditionally far worse than LA Tech.
Coaching at Buffalo would be far easier.
Distance traveled by LA Tech:
Hawaii - 4,200 miles
Idaho - 2,200 miles
San Jose - 1,940 miles
Boise - 1,900 miles
Nevada - 1,900 miles
Fresno - 1,800 miles
UTST - 1,630 miles
NMST - 940 miles
They have to visit half of those teams on the road every year. Tennessee for example, the farthest they have to travel is 550 miles to Gainesville every other year. I've said before and I still believe that Louisiana Tech is the worst job in the country. Even worse, the school and job is so bad that they not only allow the football coach to have two jobs, but it was their idea.
To me, one winning season at Ruston is more impressive than multiple winning seasons in Buffalo. That's without factoring in conference location and doing two jobs at once. Jmo.
