That is one of teh most accurate police dramas ever made. My dad's people are from Baltimore. Jimmy Mcnulty nails it, and could literally be a relation to my family there, accent and all. Which is funny cause in real life Dominic West doesn't sound or act like that at all. The guy that wrote the series was a beat cop, and while the names have been changed to protect teh guilty and corrupt this absolutely captures the B-more crack epidemic 80-90's . Some towns had a glory day and have devolved like Philly. B_more has been a hive of pirates and scum from near the beginning, and sorta takes pride in it. I love the food there, and miss my brown bag of crabs and beer from the package store when we'd visit relatives, but no way in hell I'd live there now. I'm glad I was raised in Appalachia. Bmore is no joke....It’s been 20 years since The Wire debuted. Having not watched it during its heyday, I’ve tuned in to a few episodes. S1E4 has the infamous “f***” scene, throughout which the cops utter only f-bombs and f derivatives. Several minutes of crime scene investigation expressed in f only.
Movies that are prolly too scary for Joe and his wife (@Souce ) won't let him stay up past bed time to watch
