This is pretty unusual for USU, isn't it? I don't remember seeing this kind of thing in recent years, but I haven't been following them.

Interesting question. Last year in the offseason Jake Doughty was arrested and charged with providing alcohol to a minor. Travis Van Leeuwen was arrested for a DUI but the charges were dropped. We have been a pretty clean program with off the field inicidents. I think it's normal to have one or two knuckleheads from a bunch of 18-25 year old young men do some stupid things.
The charges are interesting. JoJo was arrested in February yet still played the spring game. I'm guessing he did something dumb like use another players meal card or the like. As per Butler.. well DUI laws I'm told are so complicated and the defense strategies so good who knows what will happen. Whatever happens, I hope it's in the best interest of these two young men.

What's your opinion on the impact these two young players have on your football team?

Natson was the only player in the country to log 2 TDS in each of the following categories: Rushing, Receiving, and ST. I think Natson hurts us most in Special Teams. He was a very good punt returner. He's very slight- about 5'6" and shifty. A very poor mans Darren Sproles (albeit at the WR position). He doesn't get many YAC, but he catches everything thrown his way.
Butler is a lesser known commodity. He had the raw ability but couldn't seem to break the depth chart until the latter end of the season. He had a big game against Fresno with 5 catches for 145 yards. Besides that game he didn't make big impacts, but you can see the raw talent and ability. He played WR, DB, and QB in JC so the kids a good athlete.
Overall if these guys aren't around for the Tennessee game or more it hurts because of lack of continuity. You're replacing two guys who have seen the field with two guys that haven't. We've got good depth at WR, but it is unproven depth. It would be one more question mark to the laundry list of question marks Utah State has coming into the season.

Holy Crap...their coach obviously admires and aspires to be urban Meyer. Will they even have enough players left to play us?
