I'm of two minds on this: you're absolutely correct that these players are not good enough. But the coaching staff knows this - they're just trying to survive.

Can be in the discussion for playoff at Notre Dame...they always are regardless of what kind of team they have...but, he has as good a chance with us as the rest of his offer list reported in that article.
