'24 TX OT Bennett Warren (Tennessee)

From Rivals:

One of the biggest surprises on Tuesday during limited action was Tennessee signee Bennett Warren, who is absolutely massive at 6-foot-8 and 335 pounds but moved really well mainly playing right tackle. He’s a little bit of a waist bender but the Sugarland (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall standout was really impressive, was light on his feet and was looking for contact the whole time.

Good. Hope he can give us some quality PT as a freshman.

RT! Bigger Darnell Wright imo. Hopefully heavy in the rotation by mid-season.

I mean at 6’-8” playing tackle he probably gonna have some waist bend being that tall

The one rep is dumb. Fountain goes so far to the inside he’d end up on the centers lap if that was real life.

The other rep he didn’t get knocked down until like 3-4 seconds in, which the ball is out.
This. Fountain would've just been washed as he ran into the guard and the 3 technique.

But he got beat in a one on one rep by a highly touted DE prospect!

learning to pass block especially against elite players with vertical sets and no help inside is difficult. The vertical set drills, push-pull drills, and proper use of hands will go a long way. He shows good feet so I’m confident the rest will come.

If my old ass runs (likely walks) around a pile o' cinder blocks at Lowe's. Its super easy. Now, pile 7-10 pallets together, and you've got a wall. Lil bit tougher now.

He will be fine.

I'm not opposed to throwing him at LG for next year and sliding him out to T in 2025. Especially if we can't land a better option in the portal.

There is nothing nice about AtoZ articles, unless you need toilet paper or something to start a fire with.
They typically swipe someone else's article, cut out a short quote, and then tack on a bunch of useless drivel before the quote to take up space and pretend it's their own work. 😂

247Sports named Bennett a top performer for Day 3 of the Army All-American Bowl today.

BENNETT WARREN, OT (TENNESSEE)

Warren owns a college-ready offensive tackle frame and has steadily gotten better throughout the week of practices, culminating with his best performance of the week during today's practice. The Tennessee signee has made leaps and bounds throughout his high school career when it comes to maintaining his base in pass protection and also flashed some encouraging redirection ability when climbing to the second level at 6-foot-7 1/2, 320-plus pounds.
