While I agree with you UGA still has Smart and UF still has Mullen. We donā€™t know who we are going to get. With the likelihood of scholarship reductions and sanctions on the way, itā€™s a little silly to think Salter will be the guy that leads us to the SEC title.

Iā€™m with you. If Kirby had Sabans roster heā€™d still find a way to lose 3 games. I think Mullen is a good coach when heā€™s got a great quarterback. I think they struggle next year with Jones.

Kirby HAS a better roster than Saban and started Stetson Bennett at QB for 6 games. Heā€™s a joke. Heā€™d be as bad as Pruitt if he was the HC here.

No, but even a great coach is going to start off in a hole. It took Saban and Kirby Smart (Iā€™m not even calling him ā€œgreatā€) each 2 years to be competitive and they walked into much better situations. Iā€™m figuring on doubling the time for the mess our next coach inherits. By which time Salter is a senior. Miracles can happen, but it would certainly take us catching lightning in a bottle with this hire.

I dont necessarily disagree. It would almost be unheard of if we do it honestly. I think you're on the right track at 4-5 years at the earliest.

His roster is at dead minimum on the same level. 5* talent all over the field and still somehow loses.

2018 alabama #5 Georgia #1

2020 alabama #2 Georgia #1

So in terms of better classes Georgia actually has more talent.
Last 4 years Georgia is averaging 1.75 while alabama is averaging 2.25

That just shows recruiting rankings aren't always accurate. Anybody that watched Ala and Ga play this year could easily say Ala was on a different level than GA.

Oh I 100% agree but in terms of talent Georgia is on the same playing field as alabama. Its mostly due to coaching. Nick Saban gets the absolute most out of his players. Kirby is a decent coach but he's not at the level of Saban. That's why there is such a contrast between them.

Absolutely! That's why I'm not sold on Kirby. With all that talent he should be dominating the East and playing for the NC every season. Hate to make the comparison, but Fulmer wasted a lot of talent when he was at TN and should have played for and won more than 1 NC.

Sounds like a bunch of scared little Bā€”ā€”-tches in here. Geeze, when did everyone stop having hope in our program. Yeah, we have sucked but you all still watched and had hope. Keep the hope alive.
