First saw Salter in January at a pretty loaded 7on7 tournament in Miami. Like I told Grant, the ball really comes out hot. He was the best QB there by a good margin and of the events I went to before the shutdown in the top two with Drake Maye. I think we would've continued to see Salter impress with a normal offseason camp schedule...he has the type of skill set that impresses in those settings.
2019 was his first year at Cedar Hill and in going back and researching his season, you see a lot of the same things he showed in person. Cedar Hill lost a wild game to Denton Guyer (A&M QB commit Eli Stowers' team) in the playoffs after Guyer recovered something like 3 or 4 onside kicks in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Saw a quote from an opposing coach talking about how Cedar Hill runs 4 verts and lets Salter throw it as far as he can (which is quite far) to stress defenses. Salter had a nice first season at Cedar Hill against some of the toughest competition in Texas and the country for that matter. Then you see he has some impressive athletic markers as a track athlete.
Lot to like here for sure, and based off what we've seen I think it's safe to say Salter is among the more physically talented QB's in the 2021 cycle.
