blame rivals and ESPN. Rivlas still has him outisde the top 250, even with a relatively large bump in rankings i think this week....there's quite a gap in what 247 and Rivals think of him as a prospect. ESPN has him as the 27th rated pocket passer...3* well outside their top 300.88th best player on 247
253rd on composite
Don't think I can trust that composite system.
Lol..he should stick to being a highly paid OC somewhere that doesn't need him to recruit. He would not suck at that, but he sux as a HC...just so much more to it than drawing up plays, installing them and using them at the right time.
he's got too big an ego for that. but i agree with you. he's not a great head coach. great offensive mind, and he was at the right place (oregon) at the exact right time....he's not a program builder.Lol..he should stick to being a highly paid OC somewhere that doesn't need him to recruit. If I was a guy like him, I would find some program willing to pay me big money just to do that, and settle in for the long haul.
Rocket Launcher
"The ball just kind of pops coming out of his hand — effortless thrower. He can throw it 60, 70 yards pretty easily."
-Charles Power, 247. Said he may have the biggest arm in the class.

Yes. Accuracy is most important. Saw a recent article that some NFL scouts think it can't really be taught (to a degree) and is more an inherent capability. Thought that was surprising. The ball really does jump out of his hand. Every qb on our roster has a world-class arm. Maurer came in second for the long throw at the elite 11. We need a qb that is accurate though
I agree that the ability to hit a moving Target is something that is hardwired into the brain. It's not something that you want a QB to have to think about. I think if you want to fine tune that ability, a good training activity might be skeet shooting.Yes. Accuracy is most important. But quick release and velocity are great to have. And it never hurts to throw it 60 yards on the run.
Remember that it was 247 that had HB lowly ranked.blame rivals and ESPN. so, 247 it is for the win!
Maybe at one time, but they finally came to their senses somewhat and he finished top 100 on 247. #3 PP-QB only behind #1 overall DJ U and CJ Stroud. That is dang good company. Similar to Salter's ranking.Remember that it was 247 that had HB lowly ranked.
Edit: nvm, I seen it. It could be like the dmv dline guy that committed to Maryland recently. Trying to throw ppl offSo Auburn folks said “didn’t want him anyway” and they had their guy in the bag, Dematrius Davis. All the CBs rolled on in him 16 for them to be exact and then..... This morning he cut his top schools to 3 and AU wasn’t on it.

Oh I'm intrigued now. The AU board is 100% convinced he's trolling. They even upvoted the post that mentioned this. But the kid also tagged an A&M player in it.So Auburn folks said “didn’t want him anyway” and they had their guy in the bag, Dematrius Davis.
