'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

When I retired I moved to Tampa for three years, now am just a snowbird during the winter. Always wearing my Vol gear, never once had a bad encounter, couple smart a.. comments but nothing really bad.
Actually, it is a good conversation starter, always have people like at Walmart or grocery come up to me and start talking sports, or “hey I have a brother that lives in TN”....blah blah blah etc. Or even, “hey looks like you have a great coach now.” Other people here at the condo wear there teams gear and it allows us great chance get know each other.
Been two Tenn games in Florida, never a problem. Maybe they just don’t want to pick on an old gray haired guy.....lol
Lived between Gainesville and Palatka for a year and a half. Coached with a couple of UF alums and other UF fans. Never had a problem. MUCH less arrogant than UGA people.

I disagree, there just as bad if not worst. Do you not know the history of there fans in the stadium.? I grew up in Tampa I have a ton of friends who are gator fans. What amazed me is how they became gator fans only when spurrier got there.!! There both real bad sportsmanship fans. Plenty of redneck drunks....I’m sorry but it’s the truth been to many games and know way to many of the fans. Been to the games and had first hand experience to know how bad they get.

There are 4 scenarios that I see as possible with all this, and honestly, I’m ok with all of them.

In order of my level of acceptability.

1. He picks UT and balls out
2. He picks OM and flames out/causes locker room distress
3. He picks OM and balls out (how many times do we play them in the next 3-4 years (1x, maybe 2?) I trust Pruitt defense to be able to beat Kiffin O even with a stud RB. Plus maybe he hurts Bama
4. He picks UT and flames out (I think our locker room is too strong for him to cause widespread distress).
No more distress in our locker room...

Just speaking from my experience. Spent my whole career in Georgia. Spent 11 years 30 minutes from Athens. My experiences in both Florida and now in Alabama with fans was better.

I've lived in Interlachen, Palatka and now San Mateo for 6 years now. Lived in Gainesville from 2003-2009.

Most Gator fans are fine but the college kids in Gainesville are scum, especially while Meyer was coach. Buncha arrogant tittybabies from South Florida who don't know a damn thing about sports but Gators are the bestest ever!

I had lots of altercations while wearing my UT gear.

How many non-SEC schools have a legitimate chance at getting his attention though???

Depends on the time of day, the phase of the moon, whether you're using the Gregorian or Julian calendar, 24-hour rain forecasts or if someone's baseball glove has been cursed or not. We're dealing with a lot of crap here.

Pretty sure the SEC passes a rule after the Josh Malone recruitment which prevents a recruit from signing FAAs with multiple SEC schools.

You are correct though that Evans could still sign FAAs with one SEC school and other non-SEC schools. How many non-SEC schools have a legitimate chance at getting his attention though???

This is correct. He can only sign an FAA with one SEC school.

I would not turn down a RB like Evans. He could flourish or be a total question mark. I do believe Pruitt will show him the door 🚪 if Evans were to put I before Team. Pruitt is not going to tolerate “me first” players. JMO.
Agreed they way I look at it is Pruitt has seen and coached all kinds of kids. They know what to look out for and how to deal with the issues. I’m for trusting the staff, if they’re good with Evans then I’m on board!!!

Well, best returning QB in the SEC in Trask while UGA lost Fromm and a boatload if others to the NFL. UF only lost one NFL prospect to the draft out of 6 candidates. Deep and talented at every position, the big weakness for UF last year was o-line, should be a strength this year.

But again, Zach Evans to UT would be a difference-maker. Some of the best players I’ve seen are supposed “head cases.”
66. KYLE TRASK– FLORIDA
Week 6 Rank: 58; Week 12 Rank: 65
As much as Florida fans clamored for Franks to be removed for Trask, we may be at a time where those same Gator fans are asking for Emory Jones instead of Trask after his average performance in 2019. Jones’ upside is one thing – and Trask’s play this past season certainly wasn’t terrible as he completed 66.7% of his passes for 25 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. However, Trask launched just nine big-time throws compared to his 22 turnover-worthy passes, a mark that certainly isn’t pleasing on the eyes.

Interesting that Michael Penix is on this list for Vol fans. No mention of Trask.
