I understand in theory where you are coming from, but do you personally know Evans to know he will be this huge locker room cancer to the program? I’ve got to think Pruitt, Hay Graham and our coaches know what they are doing and if they feel he belongs on their football team then I’ll take this kind of talent all day. I’m not trying to say you are wrong, maybe you have personal knowledge outside of what’s been reported, I just want to be really good in football again. To do that in this day and age you need elite players. Reward > risk, imo

I don't know if he has personal knowledge or not. But if he does, he needs to say so.

Otherwise, he needs to slow down with all the 'factual', personal statements that he keeps making.

I can understand some angst with this young man. We all feel like something good is going on with the team and the culture has changed for the better. However we had the same angst when the culture was crap and the team was spiraling down. I get the impression Pruitt is in coaching to develop young men first and foremost. Remember just about every recruit has touted his honesty.
I trust the coaches to make the right call here.

A lot of the crap we hear about this kid has come from UGA fans. When did we start believing anything those dumb asses say?

This. I don't think anyone on this board has a job that depends on the success or failure of the team. The people making this decision obviously do. It is possible they see positives in the player and the person. It should be everyone's hope the coaching staff can influence him to be the best version of himself, not only on the field but more importantly in life. Sometimes all a young person needs is a chance and a positive influence.

I was horrified as a a kid when I learned that my parents had not just had sex once on their wedding night (so that my mom could then have children). But instead had actually done it 5 times (once for each of us) !!!!!

I agree with Volnatic that people on here are transposing one story onto another and relating the two as if they are fact. I don't remember it being suggested that Lacey had anything to do with Bryce Brown.I do remember that he hung around Knoxville for a while after quitting the team because he had a GF who was never named. Lacey was shown as one of two hostesses who visited recruits in SC wearing very revealing outfits. That part she has to own. Any further declarations about her character are nothing but idle gossip fueled by adolescent
and/or self righteous imaginations.

I'm not making a personal or factual statement against any kid, but as a fan of 52 years i just don't won't to take a chance and bring in one player that might send the wrong message to the other players, i would say behind closed doors if you ask our players if they won't him i would say most of them would say no, one player isn't going to take us to the top, but he could bring it down, all this is about is 5 star JIMMY, and i don't won't to hear its not about stars because it is, if he was a 3 star Jimmy you wouldn't never have heard of him much less won't him to come here, i hope the KID goes on and has a great future in football and make millions of dollars in the NFL, im not assassination on his character, i understand he is a 18 year old kid like most kids make mistakes i don't think the reward is worth the risk like a lot on her.

google it. She was a hostess who had direct contact. She is on the record stating Kiffin explained to Her that Brown specifically asked to come to Knoxville to visit her and she spent multiple days with him including going to movies. I still think it is completely wrong for others here comparing her to a prositute. She states she did not have any sexual relations with recruits so the ones here claiming she did are simply low level trash spreading rumors.

They were the worst people I’ve ever encountered at a sporting event. I’ve been to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M... the people in Baton Rogue were on another level of awfulness

I was not specifically referring to you and I’m not certain what you have posted on the subject. I saw a few posts over the weekend stating she was a skank/prostitute. I have no respect for the individuals posting rumors like this. I believe they are a lower life form than the type of person they are referring to.

The line that included Chris Scott, Josh McNeil, Vlad Richard, Aaron Douglas, Jacques McClendon, Dallas Thomas, and the Sullins bros, along with Stocker and Cottam at TE? The line that kept Crompton's jersey clean - just over 1 sack per game?

I think it is revising history to call the 2009 line "bad". I've seen better O Lines at UT, but I've seen several lines here that were worse. And I've also heard or read numerous people bad mouth the talent the Vols had in 2009, especially the O Line, to fit their stories of what a great coach Kiffin was. The facts are that the 2009 team was 7-6, and a bunch of guys on that team later made NFL rosters. I'm pretty sure two more guys, Aaron Douglas and Janzen Jackson, would have had good NFL careers except for sad personal situations.
