I've had an epiphany on Evans. He's going to sign with the XFL. It makes total sense, no classes, gets paid and plays there until he can go NFL. The one thing I can't reconcile is taking the payout over what he would receive if he went to Florida.

Don't forget he won't get the Gatoraids Herpes . So that goes on the plus side for the XFL.

Butch was just a salesman. For those that wanted to believe his bull, they praised the man and raised him up for every "brick" he brought us. Once the veneer started to wash off, he just couldn't manufacture any more spin to cover his own ass. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't tried to maneuver into television. Back to Jones, when we realized that he didn't really know how to run a team

Jones doesn't know the fundamentals of the GAME......
He's a snake-oil salesman who doesn't know anything except how to market himself and his gimmicks...and he's EXTRAORDINARILY GOOD at his "dog 'n' pony" show.
It also appears that his lack of football experience and knowledge make him extremely insecure---forcing him to camouflage his ignorance of fundamentals thru statistical analysis.

You can analyze something to death and know all the tendencies, etc...etc...etc... and still not know SHEET about the game --> that is the essence of Lyle.
And I agree that Dobbs' character and athleticism helped Jones survive as long as he did at UT--Dobbs is a true leader of men.

Lyle is a well without water....a symbol promising hope with no ability to provide it.

Jeremy Pruitt is a FOOTBALL COACH....
He knows the game and understands players from the grass roots to the penthouse.
He motivated and led the 2019 team to a winning season....and delivered on the hope he held in front of them like a carrot.
HUGE DIFFERENCE...

Man Lying Jones is why Jay left anyways. There are lots of stories i could tell. Hell i could write a book on the Lyle Lying Jones chronicles. That dude was a real true wolf in sheep clothing. Came to my business and blatantly lied to my face to get a recruit then screwed the kid over for 2.5 yrs. Kid is a pro now and said he never saw coaching until his Sr yr and Lying Jones was gone. Kid praised the new staff with CJP for building confidence in the players that were constantly lied on and torn down and got the to the NFL. The players bodies were bad and many had to do things outside the program for speed and weight training. It was an utter embarrassment.

I would pay to read this book.
