Tyler Baron will be on the field when the Vols square off against Clemson in the Orange bowl. The junior standout in unsure of his future after that. He is weighing his opportunities in the NFL. I thank him for sticking with the team for the bowl game! Good luck to him in 2023.

Just be careful, Byron. We got some fans who will praise you to the celestial realms and beyond for playing in the bowl. Then condemn you to an afterlife to the pit beneath Satan's commode for not returning for your senior year. Be careful.

Disclaimer: In real life, Clint Eastwood doesn't smoke.

I think you may have put your disclaimer in the wrong thread. I like the post you made about the Clemson QB. That is where you referenced "The Man with No Name."

Hope he comes back and leads the Defense as a Senior!

If he Works hard on his pass rush during the offseason, he could probably get drafted next year. He’s already a decent run-stopper.

Watching Baron play over the years I feel like he’s so close to being an absolute monster, but can never get over the hump to be that consistent force that it looks like he can be .

Seems like they've moved him to interior line. He's taking on double teams more than he's had to. I remember him coming off the edge like a beat a couple years ago

So you condemn some fans for telling their point of view. But you can tell yours? I think it’s his decision but he would be better off returning or transferring to another college team. He certainly isn’t ready for the NFL. He also went in the transfer portal last year before committing back to UT. If he is not happy, then he needs to hit the road. Some guys don’t like to be pushed like Mr. Rodney Gardner likes to push his defensive lineman. I hope he comes back to UT because he is a decent/solid lineman that can help himself with one more year under CRG. But if he leaves, I have no sour grapes.

Regardless of his NFL decision, huge props for not quitting.

Your narrative doesn't fit what i actually said in my post. But then that typical of fans who Chubby Checker. They twist and turn all night long.

Baron going pro doesn’t make a lot of sense. Wasn’t even a starter

I wonder if it’s a request for more NIL money…because he definitely needs a year where he has more highlights if he wants to improve his draft position.
Whatever he decides I hope it works well for him but I’d love to have him one more season - especially with Byron going pro. We signed some very talented edge players but they need to play behind a guy like Baron for a year.
