Tyler Bray (Combine video)

There’s no doubt that Dooley was a bad coach. That being said, when you compare Bray to Andrew Luck, the contrast is startling. Hell, even compare his mental makeup to Peyton Manning…. in the respect that that Manning and Luck are incredibly humble. Yet, Bray is constantly I this and my that. Bray is me first, it’s very clear. That won’t work in the NFL, see Jeff George for a clear example.

Just stop it. The reporters were asking specific questions about him. How was he supposed to answer? In the 3rd person? He was our QB during the most turbulent times in UT history. He led the most prolific offense UT ever put on the field. If you can't wish him well in future endeavors at least don't knock the kid. He's not Peyton and he's not Andrew. He's Tyler Bray, a UT grad. Good Luck Tyler.

Wow, really?

People are just making up rumors about Bray taking performance enhancing drugs? How stupid? And yet, just par for the course for some posters here.

Your ignorance is amazing. They're tested at the combine fool. What you're seeing is what can happen when people pay attention to detail. Doofus and crew didn't pay attention to detail and that's why those who needed weight didn't gain and the fat asses didn't lose.
I love how you idiots will bash players while defending the biggest idiot that has ever worn orange.

Who the funk are you calling fool...idiot? HGH is something the NFL is still just talking about testing for...Bonehead.
Does the NFL need HGH testing? - NFL Videos

See how that works? Typical Internet Cowboys, throwing around sharp-tongue remarks they wouldn't have the balls to do, in person....especially if they knew who they were talking to.

The irony in this post is classic.

And you'd ask Bray, to his face, if he'd taken PEDs?

You don't really have to answer that. We already know.
STFU...I was saying that I wouldn't be surprised if he did, at the request of his agent. Again, if it ain't being tested, I don't care. I'm not knocking Bray. I am glad we had him at QB, and have defended him

Yep, cause little wankers like you sit behind the safety of a keyboard, acting like you got a pair the size of watermelons. When in fact, you got squiter nuts. I'll meet you and him face to face and we can see who has a pair big enough to be calling folks an idiot to their face.

Well, I didn't call you an idiot or act like i got a pair the size of watermelons. The only person I see doing that would be you, so I guess that makes you the one with "squiter nuts". You can be the internet tough guy all night long if you want, still gonna make it ironic.

In case you hadn't noticed, I hadn't insulted anyone til this joe came out of the blue calling everyone who disagreed with him, fools and idiots. Just giving him a dose of his own medicine...how ironic, indeed.

I'm pretty comfortable assuming the reason Tyler is bigger is that his body has matured and he had three or so months of nothing but combine training. You'd be surprised what you can do with your body when the only thing you have to do is eat, sleep, and workout.

I just don't think he's a winner.. He does have the physical tools, but most of the qb's in the league do. U have to have that something special.. That anything to win mentality, and I don't think he has it.. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't want the Broncos to draft him.

He does gain more of my respect from how he accepts part responsibility for the team not coming together during the interview though.. He could've pointed fingers, but he didn't.

It's kind of hard to be a winner when the defense is off chasing butterflies while you're busy putting up 55 points and breaking Peyton's record of 523 passing yards in a single game. The fact that Bray's shining moment as a Vol was overshadowed by us nearly losing to Troy is an utter disgrace.

Let me just throw some stats out there. In 2012, our offense averaged 36 points a game. Now, that's a lot of points. You put 36 on the board and you expect to win, right? You certainly don't expect to lose 7 out of 12. To put it into perspective, Alabama's much ballyhooed offense averaged 38 points a game with an absolute cupcake of a schedule and went on to become national champions.

Unfortunately, our defense also gave up 36 points a game. And that is... completely unacceptable, not even in the same ballpark as mediocre. To put THAT into perspective, you could triple the average that Alabama's defense allowed per game (11) and it would still be less than what our defense was giving up. That's pathetic.

To put it all into even more perspective, I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the 2012 Tennessee defense was the worst in Vols history. It literally, statistically was the worst ever. So I don't care if we had Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Mike Glennon, or the freaking lovechild between Peyton Manning and Joe Montana at quarterback; that guy would have been no more a winner than Tyler Bray was in his time at Tennessee.

I hope and think Tyler does well in the NFL, he has one of the best deep balls I have ever seen for a Qb, and a nice quick release.

And that's a fare comparison because neither Peyton nor Luck had stable/quality coaching to help mold them while in college right???

Leaf is a bad character guy.........Bray's not.

Bad decision makers are bad decision makers. Bad character guy or not, they are one nd the same.

Bray's pro career won't even come close to Leaf's in final numbers. Write that down and check my accuracy!
