The sack on 4th and 3 was typical Tyler. They probably haven't yet given him the authority to check off when he sees a blitz coming - but it probably would not have mattered since he never read one coming and checked out of one at UT. Even without the authority, if you know it is coming move your feet away from the pressure and get the ball out to the hot read. Don't take a sack on 4th down.

Between the ears. Always has been.

Right, that's why he was sacked a total of 8 times all last year.

I feel like this in most situations: work, church, shopping. If I have to watch tv when the wife chooses the show (Say Yes to the Dress, what the #@$%???) and I'm not blind drunk, it's a missed opportunity.

Only 1 TV in this day and age ?

I don't think the OP got the memo that winning isn't the point of preseason games.
It has nothing to do with winning. It was the last play of a preseason game. Opportunities are limited and Bray should of had a chance to sling it. I pull for any former Vol to make a NFL team.

I imagine that anybody that makes a valid point about Bray's issues as a quarterback will be immediately insulted by you. Did you really enjoy the last three years as a TN fan solely to defend him to this point? Yes Dooley sucked, Defense sucked, Sal sucked. We all agree with that too.

Nobody in their right mind is going to run a play like that from their own 2 in a preseason game. No coach is going to risk an injury on such a low percentage play with absolutely nothing on the line.

Aside from the fact that no one does that, why did Tyler deserve a chance to throw more than the running back seeing one more carry?

TB had already shown his ability under pressure with the errant passes and taking the sack with the double clutch. Last play was meaningless.

I really don't get the willing him to fail crowd. I hope he makes the team and gets to hang around for years to come. I also don't think a few meaningless preseason snaps are indicative of anything where he is concerned.

I think he's had a pretty good camp with KC. Bray needs to work--hard--on his footwork and really focus on making good quick decisions with the pass game. The best QBs know how to read defenses/blitzes and find receivers quickly--always making positive yardage. He's very inexperienced at the pro level--the idea is to get better. We shall see if he can do that.

Fixed your post... I still don't understand bashing our former qb who is trying to make an nfl roster. You guys are pathetic

I agree he's a Vol, and we should support him. I think the reason he gets a lot of grief though was his attitude. Vols wanted so badly to love Wild Thang, and his raw talent was never in question. I think many really got soured though to see such natural talant squandered, and an attitude that on the outside looked like he didn't care. I doubt that was ever the case.... but that was how it came across. I want nothing more though to see him learn from it and be a starter, he has always had the raw talent and arm to be great. Just needs the mental discipline to match it. That talent doesn't need to be raw anymore.

I think he should seek out Berry out there, Berry is a master of mental discipline and commitment to the head game. I don't think anyone other then Peyton has been such a student of the game.

yes because his throws that worked in college ball against MTSU and troy have to be just as easy against pro teams.

I know it's crazy how the stats of every other QB in the SEC only have the BCS level games. Somehow Bray's stats were allowed to include all games. Really weird.

In all likelihood, you are correct; however, I never expected him to make the team. I thought that he may end up being on the scout team but not on the regular roster.
I was surprised the other night when he was the 3rd q.b. to play and Ricky Stanzi was the 4th q.b. to play. He must have given the coaching staff something to believe in.

He'll make the team. It's KC, for God's sake. It's a QB graveyard. They haven't had anybody wuff a blue dayum since Len Dawson.

I think the majority of the "Bray haters" are that way because it makes them feel better about their miserable life.

I don't understand why people want to see him fail. Okay, so you hate him, big deal. If he succeeds in the NFL, that reflects positively on TN and potentially helps recruiting.

I was not a big Foster fan while he was at UT, but I am thrilled he is doing well in the NFL. He is such a complete player now and I hope the same will happen for Bray.

Grow up...

I don't see anyone willing him to fail. I do see people recognizing the reality which was voiced quite clearly by Gruden in his evaluation of Bray. "Pro quarterbacks make it from the neck up."

The case for "growing up" can also be said about some of his supporters as well.
