Tyler Harris to transfer

IIRC Tennessee didn't show too much interest, or pursue Harris all that hard. I know they weren't in his final 3 or 4 at the end as well.

I'm sure part of it was following Tobias, but I remember there being a lot of talk that Tyler quite frankly wasn't as good of a prospect as Pearl wanted.

I'd be surprised if Tyler doesn't give Tennessee a lot of consideration. It's a good opportunity, a position of need for us, fits CCM's rebound and defense style, and has a brother who will sell UT more than anyone.

Correct. I don't think UT showed a great deal of interest. Harris, in turn, showed little interest in following in his brother's footsteps regardless of UT's interest.

So you don't expect Harris to give Tennessee a serious look?

Well, he could now that his brother will be three years removed from his time here before Tyler is eligible. I just don't think he had any interest in coming in the year after his brother and attempting to live up to the expectations.

Definitely can understand that.

Would be a good pick up IMO. We need the experience in the post in the 2013 class and he'd definitely provide that. Hopefully hell give us a good look.

Why put this potential problem on the team? And I don't mean Tyler; who may be a fine kid. The Harris father seems like all he wants is to use people and schools to showcase his kids' talents. Not sure that is what this team will need. What happens if he rides the bench too much or doesn't get enough PT? I think the Harris family has left a legacy here at UT already. We should pass on this transfer and move on to the next problem at hand. Mr. Harris reminds me of Bryce Brown's family. And look how that dog and pony show turned out!

I agree, no need to go through all that headache for anything outside spectacular talent

Correct which is why the OP saying he's coming to Tennessee confused me. To this point there's been no mention of him and Tennessee.

My bad I should have quoted him. I was confused where he was coming from with that as well. Best of luck to where ever he goes tho.

Pass on Tyler unless Tobias leaves the NBA early to return for his sophomore season. Then I would take the package deal.

sorry bleeding, i dont think this kid is what we are looking for

No apologies, everyone has an opinion.

Mine is, a sophomore Harris in his 3rd year, will be better suited to contribute immediately than a project post we may end up with. And seeing as how there's a chance yemi may be our only post, well be in desperate need of immediate impact post guys, not projects.
