If Jancek could not stop him while he was a QB at Fla he sure isn't going to stop him in practice. like Jancek needs anymore problems he cant solve.

What number does Jancek wear?

It was our lack of D team
Speed that didn't stop him. That problem is being solved.

The only time Murphy looked good was when he played us. Interestingly enough, all QBs looked good when they played us.

I don't understand why someone starts one of these threads every time some D1 player announces they're leaving their current school. Other than Malik Jackson, how many times have we taken a transfer that has succeeded.

Alex Bullard was a transfer from ND. I think we had a TE a few years back from FSU that played a descent number of snaps before getting run off by LK. There's probably more.

Edit: That doesn't mean that I don't agree with you that starting thread about every single transfer in D1 is silly.

You're right about Bullard, he wanted to be closer to home because of a family situation.

Brandon Warren from Alcoa was the FSU player, he felt leaving Knoxville for FSU was a mistake from the start and got back here. Couldn't stay out of trouble, though.

We may five QBs on our roster, but none of them have shown they can compete aggressively week after week in the SEC. Ferguson may be lights out-- we haven't seen him play. Dobbs may grow into the position-- or not. Worley has arm limitations. Peterman probably has permanent clipboard duty.

Auburn has gotten to two NC games with a recycled SEC QB, and LSU had success with Mett. If we have the opportunity to pick up a high-potential QB, why not? Murphy may or may not be that guy-- IDK anything about him. But I'm pretty sure we'd be bowling, with a shot at going 7-6 this year, if we hadn't had QB issues.

You keep telling yourself that and sooner or later you will believe it. You say team speed and others say speed and depth and talent. They at least try to cover all excuses in trying to defend Jancek.

Well, he's not going away, so I'm not sure what good continuing to bash him does you.

I actually don't think he is a bad QB and we could use him. My issue would be that he is taking up a roster spot. With the way Jones is recruiting these are precious items to give up. We can not give up a roster spot for a flyer.

I started it because UT sports media mentioned it

Cam Newton was a backup at Florida. Nick Marshall was a defensive back at Georgia. Murphy is probably better than Dobbs

We haven't even gotten into spring ball yet, an they have 7 transfers on offense. That's hardcore. Sounds like the wheels are falling off for Muschamp.
