I was looking at our respective schedules and I, for example, am using NationalChamps.Net's picks for next year pollwise.

We play the #4, #11, and #12 preseason picks, plus two other teams they say have a good chance at the top 25.

USC plays the #20 team and two teams that have a good chance at the top 25.

I certainly would like to be able to play the schedule they have this coming year. I would be getting my NC tickets now!

Also, they play UCLA and Stanford, two big rivals at home.

With sixteen starters back, how could you not expect them to have a cakewalk year?

I know strength of schedule no longer technically figures into the BCS (Farce!), but it certainly directly affects Ws and Ls, thus the polls.

NO COMPARISON, our schedule to theirs!!!

yes we will have a difficult time beating all them teams but i think we have so much talent and depth that we will win all of our games.

It doesn't matter where USC plays. With the talent they've got this year, I'd go so far as to say they could go undefeated with any team on their schedule. The real question is how do we impress voters while other teams out there like Texas, Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa have very tough schedules as well.

And before everybody starts pulling out the stats against me again, everybody knows that the Big Ten will be far more loaded than any other conference next year (Given they've got THREE NC contenders) and if any team there goes undefeated, it will be very impressive next year.

The most frustrating part of the guessing game is that you never know who the media darling will be. You know, Auburn really disqualified itself for making the media look stupid the year before. The real question is that after the debacle in the BCS championship last year, why was Oklahoma given a second chance to suck.

USC is a great team but I think if you put them in the SEC and give them a schedule like our's...they wouldn't go undefeated...that's JMO though

I know that if Adrian Peterson played in the SEC he would be just another TB. Reggie Bush however may have been the best back in the SEC had he played there.

Add OK to that list. They love Bob Stoops. They are gonna go goo goo over Urban Meyer.

We had a big cook out that night and there were 2 Florida fans here and when Ainge threw that pass they just knew it was an interception and when Smith pulled that pass in and took it to the house for 6 this house went absolutley crazy....We all went wild after Wilhoit missed that extra point...but he made up for it with the mack daddy of all field goals....Was it just me or did it seem like Wilhoit had an off year this year?

We'll see. I think Tennessee could be the media darling this year. If we beat Florida and LSU out of the gate, I have a good feeling everybody will pick us as a strong NC contender. After all, with Greene and Pollack gone from Georgia as well as lot more of their talent, Auburn losing many starts, Tennessee LSU and Florida are the three top teams in the SEC.

This last year, I don't think it was so much that the media just hated us, it's that we weren't supposed to be a ten-win team, so they kept us where they thought we should be. We did have some VERY close wins, too.

reggie bush is good. but he is no sec back.

Got to disagree . . . I think Reggie Bush would start at EVERY school in the SEC.

What everybody seems to keep forgetting is that USC's rushing attack is based on the combination of Bush and White. I think that collectively they are the best runners to be out there in a while. Another reason I would have loved to see USC vs. Auburn.

There is a fierce loyalty in the south for SEC football. Sometimes objectivity is hard. The Big Ten will be loaded next year, but since the inception of the BCS the B10 does not have what I consider to be a legitimate championship. Especially considering the fact that they do not have a conference championship game.

Well IMO a conference championship game is good in one sense because it helps you jump a little bit in the polls and can give you some momentum going into the bowl game....On the other hand, a conference championship game is a bad idea because the teams beat each other up....That's the problem with the SEC...We beat each other up...I'm still glad we have a SECCG though

It cost us a chance at the NC game. But I agree. I wouldnt have it any other way.

Yes. I think every conference should have a championship game.

We could do it, too...

North: Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Cal
South: Stanford, UCLA, USC, Arizona, Arizona State

That's right....That's what I mean...We don't play that game we play in the NC game and maybe win....Oh well...I have a feeling we'll be there this year

I think that a championship game would generally up your team's NC stock. Especially if it's a team from the west that you didn't play that season. I could see how it would make it worse, but that would happen so much less than making you look better, it makes a championship game a great thing.

i believe the ncaa says you have to have 12 teams in conference to have a cha, pionship game. when BC moves into the acc next year, they will have one\

btw i agree i think a conference championship game is a great thing, although it doesnt always work out. remember oklahoma two years ago?
