UCLA @ #1 Oregon

The game probably wouldn't be close if the two teams played, either.

That being said, Oregon has played well and has been fun to watch this year, to say the least.

'01 Miami isn't on our schedule, so I could really care less.

At my friends place in town... Oregon was simply playing a whole nother game than UCLA. The bruins got a couple ticky tack calls.

I still think the ducks are gonna lose one... It's on USC or Oregon state though.

Oregon will run all over that USC defense.

Dunno. Usc's d may be able to contain oregons running game just enough to let Barkley keep up.

Then we'll just air it out. DT had a 70% completion rate, 300+ yards, 3 TD's and no picks tonight. :machgun:

USC's not gonna slow us down. I'm not saying they won't win but they'll need to do it by outscoring us. Lane Kiffin himself put it best:

"I think Oregon could hang 52 on the New York Giants."

It's possible. Not likely, but possible. USC's offense has been pretty awesome, so that gives me hope.

So has Oregon's... :p

Honestly. I read a recap by Ted Miller on ESPN that is the reason why I think the Ducks aren't gonna get stopped by the Trojans, he said "The unsung heroes of this game, like most Oregon games, was the Defense."

After UT went up on us 13-3. They shut them down. 0 points allowed for 2 1/2 quarters. They shut out Andrew Luck and Stanford in the second half and are still the only team that has denied Stanford any points once they got in the red zone (and they did it twice.) They have 2 shutouts, more then any Oregon team since '65, they lead the Pac-10 in forcing turnovers and tonight the starters didn't allow a single TD on a UCLA team that stomped Texas at Texas.

The offense is, obviously, great. But the D is the secret weapon. Add in the fact that they have a good kicking game, a great punter, the nation's best (statistically) punt returner and it's easy to see why visions of crystal footballs are dancing in many Duck's heads...

Yea, to think that you all beat a team that dominated Texas by 47 is pretty damn impressive. Oregon's for real this year and has looked far more impressive than any team in the nation.

Yeah, and I know we did allow a TD but it was let in by backups in garbage time. The starters only allowed 2 FG's.

Did UCLA beat Texas by 47? I remember it was a beatdown but damn... I didn't think it was that bad!

No, I was referring to you all beating UCLA by 47. I think they beat Texas 32-13 if I remember correctly.
