Honestly. I read a recap by Ted Miller on ESPN that is the reason why I think the Ducks aren't gonna get stopped by the Trojans, he said "The unsung heroes of this game, like most Oregon games, was the Defense."
After UT went up on us 13-3. They shut them down. 0 points allowed for 2 1/2 quarters. They shut out Andrew Luck and Stanford in the second half and are still the only team that has denied Stanford any points once they got in the red zone (and they did it twice.) They have 2 shutouts, more then any Oregon team since '65, they lead the Pac-10 in forcing turnovers and tonight the starters
didn't allow a single TD on a UCLA team that stomped Texas at Texas.
The offense is, obviously, great. But the D is the secret weapon. Add in the fact that they have a good kicking game, a great punter, the nation's best (statistically) punt returner and it's easy to see why visions of crystal footballs are dancing in many Duck's heads...
