UConn v ND

I was impressed that Notre Dame was able to stay within 10 considering that Loyd and Allen played so poorly offensively. Additionally, they had so many turnovers and just couldn't convert. Tonight it was evident how important Turner is to Notre Dame. She shut down Stewart and finished shots in the paint. She led Notre Dame in scoring and she's one of the least polished posts I've seen. If Reimer continues to improve, Turner develops some offense and Allen makes another improvement as a junior, Notre Dame will be lethal.

That said, it should be another year where it's Connecticut, Notre Dame, and everyone else.

I coaches 3A HS Texas girls hoops that looked more fundamentally sound than these two squads.

We didnt miss layups.

We damn sure didnt turn it over on stupid crap 16+ times per game.

On the other hand UConn was there and UTenn was . . . ?

Katie Lou Samuelson as a freshman will not be as good as KML was as a senior. She has ice in her veins.

UConn will be worse next year, and ND will be better. I think the toughest thing will be Breanna going for 4 in a row.

ND will be really good next year. They would have won this game if they didn't miss so many open shots. They missed theirs; UConn made theirs. That was the difference.

Point well taken.... KML hard to replace.... but lose only her and bring in Samuelson, 2 solid forwards, and that 6'5" center.... I forget her name..... who transferred in from I think it was Georgetown.... I see them as not losing anything.....

Well, we have to put up with Geno's arrogant azz another year. Can't wait for that. Maybe with a few breaks and some incoming talent we can make a dent in their record next year.

Nah, because we will still be too scared to play them.

Some day all the other coaches will figure out that the game is about offense. Notre Dame shot 33 percent. I know UConn is a good defensive team but still about making your open shots and everybody gets open shots. UConn makes more than anybody else.

Not only that, he is 10-0 in championship games and still has plenty more in the tank. He will surpass Wooden as the greatest college coach, men or women, in the history of the game.

He might accumulate the most championships but no ones gonna think he's the greatest college coach of all time. He'd be lucky to be top five.

In the past I feel we haven't had a team capable of beating them. I don't feel that way about next year's team. We have to be the ones to take them down not look for anyone else to do it.

Really??? I'm no fan of Uconn but give credit where credit is due. Like him or hate him, if he were coaching the LV's we would be hanging a few more banners up.

The men's game needs to take some officiating pointers from the women. Think there were only like 4 fouls the entire first half.

Naaah. Far be it from anyone to come up with a crazy idea like that!

Geesh, give credit where it's due.
