No they don’t. I had a Georgia fan laugh at me when I told him we might make the final four and we own them in basketball. He said they don’t care about Bball just football and they would much rather kick our butts in football every year than field a halfway decent basketball team.

Of course he'd say that - they're coming off a title and have been a top 10 team in football for several consecutive years. We'd say the same thing about our basketball program if our football team was that good.

Hot take/unpopular take, but if our football program had been as good as UGA's has been for the past several years, basketball would be an interesting little sideshow some people paid attention to in March. It'd have a fraction of the enthusiasm it has.

I mean, as much as I love basketball, I'd trade 5 BB SEC Championships for a trip to Atlanta in December.
