Also, Mullen is a known QB developer. So even if he doesnt land a huge 5* QB, I think he will develop whatever QB he does get.

Well UF and UT are going in the right direction for 0-12. Who will get there first?

And this is why I was so against Dan Mullen coming here.

He's just not a good coach.

I wonder how the fans at Florida will feel about becoming the new Miss State. The try hard program that gets 3 stars to play at an 8-4/7-5 level in the SEC.

Mullen is not a good recruiter. He won't get elite talent to Gainesville and that will give him Miss State like results at Florida.

This didnt come as a surprise to me, Corral said that he wants to play for a pro style offense. When UF hired Mullen I saw it as a forfeit of Corral. Mullen may be able to flip Fields or Jones which would be impressive.

Friend of mine from California speaks as if Corral has a bit of an attitude problem.

Looks like UF is making a move for OSU commit Emory Jones he’s visiting this weekend and most OSU fans consider him gone already after visiting Bama and Auburn this fall and only going to Columbus once. There’s already about 4 or 5 crystal balls for UF that’s a little pre mature imo but would be a good fit and it’s always good to get last visit before he signs plus I heard he’s bringing mom so there’s definitely a chance he ends up a gator on December 22

Would be a huge coup by Mullen and staff and a big upgrade as far as fit for the spread option not to mention a hell of job getting somebody that’s rated even higher then Corral just a week after we lost him

I liked Corral and think he should do very well at ole miss tho I’m def a fan of his and thought he could of run Mullen’s offense well I guess he likes that dumpster fire ole miss more lol

Mullen has 2 quarterbacks starting in the NFL so his offense obviously isn’t a bad one to get you ready for the league doubt many coaches can say that but I get the feeling Corral wants to replace Patterson and likes the idea of throwing 40 times a game

Yep

Dak Prescott was rated 85 and Nick Fitzgerald was an 81 he is very good in that regard

Would be nice to land a stud like Emory Jones in his first month on the job tho

Mac landed top 12 classes(potentially top 7 this year if he hadnt **** the bed) while putting a horrible offense on the field

If UF had Mississippi States offense from this past year they could sign a top 8-10 class in their sleep

It might take Mullen a year or 2 but he should figure out how to recruit at a decent level if McElwaine could

Top 3 classes? Probably not but somewhere in the 5-10 range which is good enough to beat anybody in the country with a good quarterback

Besides I’m curious how well you thought he should of recruited at MSU? He landed decent enough classes to have them in top 25 that’s about as good as it gets when you’re in Starkville and basically the worst program in the SEC West so yea most of their classes are gonna consist of 3 stars

I don’t know why I even bother replying to you tho its impossible to have a logical discussion you stick to your brain dead opinions no matter what

Like how you think the Vols win the natty year and Josh Dobbs and Cam Sutton will be in th NFL hall of fame

Mullen will eventually get his kind of QB in there whether he's a great recruiter or not. He wants them big with decent speed and at least a fair arm. Lots of 2 and 3-star guys fit that description.

Really bad timing for Florida, cause I thought McElwain had his first big blue-ribbon class coming to Gainesville with a blueblood QB. Not sure why it took 3 years to get recruiting to the level it was before Mullens hire but things were finally going to turn with that class. I think McElwain lost support in the hierarchy and it finally broke morale. Just a little more patience and the incoming studs would have taken the Gators back to the future.

He screwed that up with the record he had this year

He needed at least a decent year and that went out the window after the Georgia blowout

He really ****ed up by bringing Nussmeier back for a third year after it was pretty frickin obvious **** wasn’t gonna get any better. He’s just awful unless he has Bama type talent and even then apparently he still gets fired

Watch Doug Nussmeier won’t be hired by anybody as an OC after being fired by Bama, Michigan, and Florida

Oh yea and 4 straight years of offenses outside the top 100 lol

If Emory Jones does flip to UF I bet he’s day 1 starter next year at least that’s what I’d be selling him on

Don’t think Bama or OSU could say that they both have plenty of talent at quarterback

Nuss worked for Bama before he went to Gainesville and we were happy to see him head to Michigan. But if there ever was a screw up it was the Will Grier situation. First by the QB and then the opportunity to bring him back.

Otherwise, the QB and offense was on this way and recruiting probably with it. Amazing how one dynamic QB can change the fortunes of one and all.

If we have trouble sorting out our feelings, we can always ask how you’ve deal with it so well the last decade or so.

I mean if anyone knows what it feels like....

Yep that was another huge screw up by Mac. We could of had Grier back halfway through 2016 if Mac just garunteed him the job I mean any smart coach would of done that even you find somebody better and go back on your word who cares you need that insurance esp when the only other guy you got is a 2 time transfer in Luke Del Rio

But Mac was a cocky mfer I remember he said he would win with his dog at quarterback lol and I think he actually thought he could make Del Rio every bit as good as Will Grier smh ****ing moron

Every gator fan out there new Grier was special and after the trouble we’ve had with QBs letting him walk would be a huge mistake

The offense never looked anywhere near as good as when Grier was running it. Not even close.

IMO With Grier we could of gave Bama a run for their money in sec title game probably still would of lost but it would of been a lot more interesting

Maybe a 7-10 point loss instead of 30. Before Mac UF had never embarrassed in sec championship like he was in 15 in 16

Amazing how really good coaches can torch that position so badly. Muschamp must have learned his lesson with Jake Bentley. But in retrospect, Muschamp really had some talent at the position at Florida and just couldn't win with them. Live and learn, for some anyway.
