I'm in the mid-cities area. I just had someone at work tell me "The aggies don't need to be ready for the SEC, the SEC needs to be ready for the aggies". I told him to get back to me after they get through their SEC schedule.I live in Dallas. You have no idea how insufferable the A&M faithful have become around here.
As for the East, beating a ranked & undefeated UF is fine by me.

I'm curous to know what TAMU's insufferable fan base expects from life in the SEC. Have they seen who's in their division?
TAMU fans are not ones to let facts get in the way of a strongly held opinion.
And they are famous for billboard trolling:
Texas A&M billboard goes up in Austin (picture)
Texas A&M Fans Provoke Baylor With Waco Billboard: "Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Conference Deal"
I think I understood the basis of the latter to have come in response to how Baylor (Kenneth Star and all) tried to sue the SEC conference (& A&M) to keep the move from happening.
Thanks for the historical context & article summary. It is still another piss poor example of TAMU billboard trolling, like in Gainesville this week.
I think one needs to keep in mind the context of these three billboards. The billboard in Waco was indeed in response to what Ken Starr was pulling in his attempt to do what was in the best interests of Baylor.
The 'this is SEC country' is nothing more than A&M's way of promoting the SEC...which in my opinion is a good thing.
This last billboard in Gainesville does not appear tobe the work of A&M or their fans...but is probably linked to people loyal to either the University of Texas or Baylor.
Regardless, many are going to hold A&M responsible, which means it had the desired effect of those who executed it in the first place.
FYP.
And again blaming BAYLOR????? Oh, please do elaborate...
If you are going to do the crime, be prepared to do the time. Distancing from three sorry billboards by some of your sorry alum's is understandable... but pathetic.
