I think every person I pulled for lost tonight...

Guess we can assume that Edgar will win.

Lol I thought u pulled for okami?

Originally but not knowing much about Buddy Roberts and seeing the fight he put up, started pulling for the underdog lol. I thought Okami would lay waste so when I saw him putting up a fight, I just didn't like the way he lost. Just didn't come off as a fair shake but it is what it is.

Probably haha

This fight could be great.

That kick by Henderson in the last fight could be viewed as lucky. I think I want him to win but yeah, this fight could go the opposite way. Probably gonna be awesome :)

Edgar got lucky at the end.... 1-0 Henderson.

Was surprised he dropped Edgar with a leg kick. Had to hurt

I think Edgar got it, but I can see them giving it to the champ cause it wasnt that decisive

This line of thinking is what will ultimately cost the UFC support, just like boxing. I had Edgar winning the last 4 rounds, maybe Henderson takes a close round 3. The champ shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt when a guy clearly wins three rounds, that's just bull****. Edgar got robbed.

I agree

I haven't seen the fight yet, but I was getting txt from friends that the champ was winning. To some people Edgar's style is unimpressive. If Edgar doesn't dominate the round then he loses the round because he's running away.

Your friends had no idea what they were talking about. Aside from the third round. Edgar was attacking, attempting submissions, controlling the octagon, and inflicting damage. Henderson was landing more blows, and a higher percentage of blows, but outside of the first round they weren't affecting Edgar much, if at all. I was disappointed with his approach to the match outside the first round. If you listen to Edgar's corner after the third (I believe) they say that Henderson only wants to fight the last thirty seconds of the round. Watch the next round, and that's exactly what seems to happen. He picks it up with about a minute left in the last round. That's not championship fighting when the other guy is attacking for most of five minutes.

Also, when you get a chance, keep an eye on how many kicks Edgar catches, it's very impressive.

My friends in question (2 of them) are pro fighters. One of them has been on tv. They know more than you and I put together.
Having said that regardless of my opinion Edgar should have finished the fight. If you leave it to the judges you get what you get.

Let me be fair, if your friends texted you after rounds 1 or 3 they could have conceivably thought he was winning. The judges aren't generally fighters though, and maybe that is a problem. That said, and I am repeating myself here, this whole idea that you can't let it go to decision when you clearly win three rounds of a fight is ludicrous. I mean, it's not like I am the only one that thought Edgar won, or that he won 4 rounds. That viewpoint is all over the place.
