I never bought into Brock at all. I understand the one ko stuff. But he still hasn't fought all the top guys. Tough to go 12-1, but what are Cormier, Browne and JDS's records? Pretty similar. I'll reserve my judging of Cain till he really cleans out the division like a GSP or Jones.

Cleaning out the division isn't the same for heavyweights though imo. That's the one division where it's always going to be a toss up. Guys like Jones, Silva, GSP haven't existed because of the parody. They're just too big for anyone to be that superior. No matter how good you are, every single fighter has knock out punches. Whether it's standing or ground and pound. You can be as tactical as you want but you can't overpower fighters the way top fighters in other divisions. They're all too big and strong.

That's kind of why I bought into Lesnar. He ended up with whatever the problem was. An infection? I don't know. But before that, he was the guy to charge and plant them. He knew how to wrestle on top of it. As we saw, that doesn't exist in the heavyweight division. I think Cain is the closest we'll get to someone who can dominate people. He's smaller but appears to match up physically. He can wrestle and has knock out power. He's quicker than everyone. He just seems superior at the moment and in that division, I'm impressed.

The lightweight division is just as hard to rule than hw. BJ is the only guy to ever defend it 3 times. Iirc

I agree with that, just saying there are 3 other guys Cain needs to fight before we crown him the best in the world.

He definitely hasn't cleaned out the division.

It's just the hardest division to clean out.

5-2 in the heavyweight division could be better than 10-0 in all divisions.

They're fighting a different fight. Imo at least

I get what you are saying. Though I'd still argue that lightweight is the best division top to bottom, therefore making it the hardest to win in. JMO

I always thought light heavyweight division was hardest to win too. At least for the fighters representing it. They're all injured now though. I love Shogun but he's trash. The same guy Jones embarrassed, took Shogun down like it was nothing. Machida is still really good and Gustaffson? We'll see him tonight. H-bomb is old. Rashad has fallen off because nobody wants to watch him. Jones destroyed the division and pound for pound is the best. But if Cain wins again tonight, his job is harder.

The brute force of the heavyweight division is just another level imo.

Also, our QB's blow. They make me hate life. Ha... ha...

Honestly this game has me a little drunk, may need a power nap before the fights. Lol

Right?

This sucks.

I don't blame you for napping before it. 95% of the time I would too. I'm not that tired though. This game makes me wish I were.

Was the stop warranted in the Bararo fight?

At first, I didn't think so. But he did cover up...

Still not sure he was beaten.

For the record, I thought both championship fights would be lopsided. The first one was...

Bet Jon Jones takes Gustaffson down.

Yeah, I don't know.

I don't think I would have stopped it. The Carwin/Lesnar fight should have been stopped before that.

Makes you wonder about the reffing sometimes...

Bones/Sonnen too

I mean it may have been stopped too fast too

I think you're right, but just for ****s and giggles, Gustaffson with a KO lol

lol

I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Weidman knocked Silva out... not like Gustaffson is some chump. He could easily win. It's just easy to be more impressed by Jones up until this point.

Gustaffson gives up 5.5 inches on reach?

Cain has done fine at a disadvantage in most of his fights but still, surprising it's that much.

Jones is a freak.

Jones has a huge reach advantage on everyone in the division. Probably the only person who can match his reach is Struve lol
