Yeah, he was classless at the end.

He's likeable when he talks though. I've grown to like him for some reason even though I didn't earlier on. Like him or not, he's amazingly good. He wiped out what was one of the deepest divisions there was. And then he beat guys from different weight classes like Silva and Cormier. It's crazy.

What did he do?

What did he do?

At the end with a few seconds left, Cormier had Jones wrapped up with his arms around Jones waist. Jones raised his hands up in the air like he's not gonna fight back, it's over. So Cormier backed off because there was probably only like 3 seconds or 5 seconds left. And Cormier backed off because Jones had his hands him up and knew it was over. When Cormier backed away, Jones dropped his hands and threw punches. Cormier then swung back. But yeah, Jones had basically said hey, the fights over so they backed off each other but then threw punches. After that he did the DX suck it towards his crotch.

He wasn't really classless. He just said he was classless himself cause he told the fans who bought Cormier shirts they wasted their money and he didn't like dc. Nothing all that bad really. It always amazes me that people love the big rivalries (sonnen silva, Ortiz shamrock) etc and then get on them for an interview after a fight lol. If you've ever been in a fight and won and someone stuck a mic in your face what would you say? I know I would sound classless.

I don't have a problem with Jones throwing punches while the fight is still on. I don't like taunting a defeated opponent after the fact. People say he's fake and I guess that makes him real but all athletes should fake graciousness in victory (they all do, Jones just forgot to).

Apparently Cormier cried at the post-fight presser.

Jones is sayig what we all want to hear. Bring on AG. That was his toughest fight. He said he'll fight DC again when he earns his shot back.

While true... he baited Cormier into backing off by essentially saying "I surrender" by putting his hands up in the air like he's defenseless. Cormier knew the fight was over and just backed off because he knew Jones won. Then Jones went after him. That's like putting your hand out to tap gloves and as the guy goes to tap your glove, you swing at him. While true the fight has started, it's bulls*** to do that. Despite Jones doing it, I don't hate him for it and I'm still a moderate fan. I think he's amazing. I thought it was classless though even if I have no problem with him in general. I really think his comments were referring to baiting Cormier and then doing the suck it gesture. That was all pretty classless but they hate each other even if they respect each other. Let's just say that Cormier started it when he shoved Jones a few months ago at a presser. But yeah, all in all, Jones was pretty classless by baiting Cormier. I still have no problem with Jones though.

I don't think Jones baited him at all. I think he put his gloves up to celebrate while DC was going low on him and then when DC stopped going low, Jones stopped celebrating, paid attention to the fight, and saw an opening to hit his opponent.

BTW, how sad is it that for Cormier that he did stop fighting? He just lets Jones hold his hand up and claim the win when there is time left? How mentally defeated do you have to be?

"protect yourself at all times."

....he didn't have to do it, but between selling the rematch and/or potential genuine dislike.

I ain't mad at him.

Cormier can't fight with Jones. His stamina to go 5 rounds isn't there or 3 tbh and a 12 inch reach advantage is crazy.
