UGA beats UK

As funny as this is tonight, I'm not laughing too hard. I was there in TB when Meeks dropped 54 on us.

I'm trying to keep the karma level even keel in case we meet the Cats in the SEC tourney. GBO!

I agree. However i grew up in Kentucky, Richmond to be exact, about 20 miles from Lexington. ALL of my friends from high school and college are huge UK fans, so i enjoy them going down in flames a little more than most i would suspect :) (For the record i DID NOT go to UK... went To Eastern Kentucky U.)

Crazy night in the SEC with this happening, Vandy beating LSU, and Miss State taking down Florida.

There are few things that I enjoy more than a Kentucky loss.

I lived in Lexington for awhile and I never cared about UK one way or the other until I learned everybody there hates UT. They think that the college sports world revolves around Lexington and it makes me sick.

I received tons of calls this years wanting to know what bowl UT was playing in. I can't wait to call up there and ask what seed they are in the tournament.

Not as embarassing as losing to Georgia.........at home.........on senior night.

Maybe....but it's still a fact this same team that couldn't beat Georgia at home on senior night beat the snot out of us twice this year. I'm not sure that's any less embarrassing.

It's the same as making fun of Vandy and Kentucky for not being able to beat UT in football this year. As bad as we were, they still couldn't beat us. That's how I feel right now.

The selection committee has to be completely miffed at the SEC right now...how do you decipher one team from being better than the other? Aside from UT, LSU, and South Cackalack, there are no teams that seem like they deserve to be there.

I just have a hard time believing that we don't get 5 in the tourney...but the question is what two teams will differentiate themselves.

As much as we all hate Kentucky, I really would not be surprised if they get in...the name on the jersey sometimes means more to the committee than the stats (Ask Ted Valentine).

Can any team from the West actually make it in without winning the SEC tourney? (and as a side note, how did Arkanas get so terrible in SEC play? they beat some marquee Big XII teams in early non-conference games)

Auburn has an out side shot. If they beat LSU, the tournament committee may have to look seriously at them with the collapse of UK and UF.

The west really had to be salivating at the east teams pissing it away tonight...

25 of my 30 years have been in either Louisville or Lexington.

Great night. Cheers, sir.

I know it has been posted before, but worth saying again...How on earth did we lose by double digits twice to this team? Does CBG own Pearl like Pearl owns CBD? I believe Pearl's only win over KY was last year when KY came to Knoxville with out Patterson and barely won then. This is kind of like Donovan's only win over Pearl being the game at Florida when Lofton was out. Kinda weird, huh?

I don't think CBG is gone this year for various reasons but the way their season has gone, this loss in particular will make next year very important for his future there. The pressure will be ratcheted up for him next year. If he doesn't produce a competitive tournament team he will be gone IMO.

the Ky boards are lit up with anti Billy G venom. they can't stand the thought of having to play in the NIT> I think some of them are secretly wishing they hadn't given "10 loss Tubby" such a hard time. At least he made the big dance! But I don't see Barnhart firing Billy this year absent something bad happening like a DUI and cursing the officer on tape. I think they have to keep Billy at least one more year so the next coach will know they won't pull the trigger too fast on me.

I used to pull for UK when they played anyone but Tennessee. My co-workers ,friends, and Girlfriends family give me grief after Tennessee looses. Some of them act like they are for UT but deep down inside I know they are happy when we loose. I did pull for UK in the Bowl game this year because of the classy statements CRB made about CPF. Other than that game I hope they loose them all!
