Just an opinion. I believe both UT and UF have made the right hires, just like Georgia did. And, historically, Georgia has been the 3rd wheel among the 3 programs. Perhaps that changes going forward, but I wont believe it til I see it. Georgia has never impressed me as a elite program and they dont now, unless they can prove they now are....and 1 year aint gonna do it for me.
You must be pretty young. UT has had some success in the past. 1998 most notably. But before Steve Spurrier, UF wasn't known as much of a football power, and really hasn't since. Most of it comes in cycles and, with today's culture, you can't really hang your hat on what you were 20 or 30 years ago. These kids are 18/19/20. They want to know what you did last season. They don't study much history.
Just curious, how many seasons out of the last 20, in your opinion, was UT was a better overall program than UGA, and thus UGA a "third wheel"?
