You must be pretty young. UT has had some success in the past. 1998 most notably. But before Steve Spurrier, UF wasn't known as much of a football power, and really hasn't since. Most of it comes in cycles and, with today's culture, you can't really hang your hat on what you were 20 or 30 years ago. These kids are 18/19/20. They want to know what you did last season. They don't study much history.

Just curious, how many seasons out of the last 20, in your opinion, was UT was a better overall program than UGA, and thus UGA a "third wheel"?

UGA has had two reputations that I can remember. 1.) they choke in big moments. (How many times did you guys have top 10 rating preseason only to highly disappoint) 2.) The away team in our series typically wins, crazy how that happens.

How may times has UT had top 10 rated seasons in the past 20 years? Is that not "choking" if you're supposedly a SEC "power"?

Last years away game was certainly and exception to your "typical".:hi:

Georgia was the away team last year and you won. Next year TN is the away team and will probably win.

Football is a very popular sport in GA, and that's why we have such quality high schools programs and players.

I'm not trying to convert anyone. Our stadium and fanbase is full. I'm just trying to get insights from fans outside our fanbase.

Just scanned it but I didn't see the "5 in 10 years" post. I do think we have a good change to be competitive in the SEC and possibly nationally for the foreseeable future. And I'd be UT fans would be the same way given our position. Heck, I saw NC predictions here for the past several years.

Most fans have high expectations. Fan is short for "fanatic".

Great Day in the Morning. Judging from the most recent interval, Tennessee wins a national championship, in reality, every 45 years.
