Article on ESPN talking about two key injuries for UGA.

Gurley warmed up on Wednesday to try to practice, but was unable to complete the warmup and therefore did not practice. Richt still hasn't ruled him out, but it seems unlikely that he will play.

Also, Freshman safety Tray Mathews injured his hamstring on Tuesday and couldn't practice on Wednesday. Richt wouldn't rule him out either but said that if he can't play that he's not sure what the replacement answer would be. They would have to "make some decisions"

Not that these are likely to be game changing for Saturday, but they are atleast significant.

Marshall's a pretty good RB though, too. They likely won't miss much of a beat, if any at all, running until Gurley comes back.

At least definitely not this week.

The secondary injury is more beneficial to us than Gurley. Their secondary is already weak. Subtract another starter and pray Worley can hit a target

Everyone outside of probably Bama has a thin spot somewhere. UT has a couple and they may be a bit more critical... but UGA has their own problems.

I hope Gurley does not play. There's 2 guys behind Marshall that I want to see them get more touches.

Even Bama is suspect to having points put up on their D this year.

I would feel the same way if I was a UGA fan. There are more important games on the schedule that he needs to be healthy for and UT doesn't look like a likely loss.

Of course as a UT fan I hope we don't have to deal with Gurley because there's enough pressure on our defense already with the offense being as anemic as it is.

Eh, everyone knows you don't need your best players to beat us. Why not bench Murray and see what your 2nd Stringer can do?

Yea, UGA insider, being an insider and all, why dont you see if you can pull a few strings and get Murray to take the week off. Hell, leave him in Georgia to spend time with his girlfriend. Whom, I assume, is smoking-azz hot...

I meant no disrespect. It's more about wanting to see what the two new RBs can do. Jj Green looks like a special talent IMO.

Reliable sources (twitter) indicate that Aaron Murray is pursuing AJ McCarron's gf.

More from TMZ at 10.

Unfortunately I dont think either injury helps us any. Recievers are still too young. Also no one can get the ball even if they were to get open.

Yeah they will too but may not be enough to help us out. Marshall is good but Gurley is another Level.
