The back up Marshall may be good but hen isn't as good as Gurley so to say they won't miss a beat is a lil far stretched! Yea he is still really good but there is a reason he doesn't start over Gurley so it does help some maybe not a lot Bc Marshall is good but not as good as the starter! With that said GBO!

i would almost rather them play Gurley. He's more of an up the middle back, which the Vols defend pretty well. Marshall is an outside speed back and we definately don't defend the perimeter to well.

I would not play Gurley. Marshall is pretty good, and no need in risking further injury against us. Against a tougher opponent, I might consider it. This year is just one of those years that you cheer for the team, but don't expect much.

If they lose a starter in the defensive backfield expect to see zone? Worley not good with zone coverage reads?

Marshall would likely be the starter at any other team in the sec. They wont miss a beat without Gurley. Given Gurley is a beast. Marshall is a beast as well.

Marshall's a pretty good RB though, too. They likely won't miss much of a beat, if any at all, running until Gurley comes back.

At least definitely not this week.

Marshall had like half of his yards last year against us...

Erin Murphy, Aaron Murray's dying girlfriend, everyone:

I'm shocked shocked that VolBrianac didn't pick up on the sarcasm and false article that even said:

NOTE: Because a tiny handful of folks evidently do not recognize satire when they see it, we have found it necessary to announce, for the benefit of those very few who did not realize it already, that what follows is satirical, is intended in jest, and is not to be taken seriously.

So, your inability to read an article and instead just read the headline to get all the info you need... fits in perfectly with your other postings.

It's also a good thing your name is misspelled and didn't read VolBrainiac. Maybe you thought it didn't and didn't realize? It's hard to tell with you.

There is a step down to Marshall. Gurley is likely a first rounder, Marshall not so much...likely a lower round pick. And there is something to say for keeping the starter rested.

Uga will still be stout running the ball though...but at least we don't have last year's incompetant D! This year we are "just" below average, lol.

Marshall looked like a first rounder last year against us. *Sigh* A lot of guys do.

He very well may... Yes he is great but not as good so there will be one point where Gurley would have got the first and Marshall won't... Lol this is of course if our D can do something

They are going to beat the piss out of our int DL. The FB they have Hicks is ridiculous.

If UGA runs anything other than perimeter rushes and middle-crossing pass routes they are more stupid than I initially think, which is saying something. As for defense, send an extra rusher at Worley and stop the inside zone read.

Basically, stay away from outside passes and inside runs against UT's defense. Should be able to score at will.

UT really shouldn't be that hard to scheme against.

Unfortunately, we've made a habit of making back-ups look like Heisman Trophy candidates . . .

Sure, Marshall's good. Maybe he'll have some long runs that don't score (and we hold em out in the red zone) and he has to leave the game from exhaustion and dehydration and cramps.:question:

Murray is prone to throw pics and our D is opportunistic this year at getting them. Could be a difference maker!
