3-6 months to full recovery depending on how bad it is; this might knock him out of participating in NFL draft workouts.

Yeah. Can't lie and say I will miss him Saturday but do not wish him any ill will otherwise.

Ouch.
I feel sorry for him, I had the same thing happen in high school during football practice, in 1977.
No surgery for it back then, just had to let it heal, which it did. Mine was just a small tear, but hurt like a BITCH.

Oh, well, they have another 4-5* to replace him with, I'm sure, but the kid is a BEAST.

I believe Heupel said something to the effect that UT was as healthy as they had been since the start of camp. Obviously a couple of guys were lost for the season but it sounds like everyone else is available to play.

Pretty remarkable compared to how poorly Butch Jones managed the roster and injuries just a few years ago.

He’s. Great player but no better than Anderson at Bama, BJ & Gaye at LSU or Cox at Fla. All were non factors vs Tennessee

Actually Cox made quite a few plays against us.

Uga people are saying he is the leader of their defense. This is huge. A big part of the reason Heupel has the offense play so fast is to disrupt the communications of the defense. If their main communicator is out, it gets that much harder for uga

This is a huge blow for the UGA defense but with it happening during the UF game instead of on say a Thursday practice, it gives Kirby and his staff 6 days to get his back up game ready. With the talent at UGA it wouldn’t surprise me if his backup is just a super star in waiting.

I hate that for Nolan Smith, he is a serious footballer, no tears for UGA though, they are deep with star studders. Injuries are such an important part of the equation this deep into an SEC schedule, it’s my opinion that we are in about as good as shape as we can be at this point in the year.

Its not all about him being the sack leader. He is a huge loss for them because he relays the plays on defense and also gets everyone lined up properly.

Take that away plus play the number 1 offense and one of the fastest tempos in the nation and it becomes a huge setback for them.
