It is hard not to be pissed right now. We had it. We lost it. There are no moral victories. This one hurts. But we did grow up and learn a lot about who we are:

1. We took the No. 12 team, in their own home, to the wire and gave them all they could handle.

2. Worley is the player of the game. Without question, the leader of this team and a complete gamer. If you ever doubt him, just go ahead and punch yourself in the junk. You deserve it.

3. Hurd is a beast. Played extremely well for a freshman in a hostile environment behind a horrible O-Line. First freshman to put up those numbers since Jamal Lewis.

4. We got too conservative after going up 10 quickly. You can't ever do that and hope to win. You have to play to win, not play NOT to lose.

5. When you get turnovers you have to convert points. Extremely frustrating to get the turnovers and then not score anything.

6. You can't turn the ball over - especially when you are driving for points. The Peterman fumble was HUGE. Cost us at least 3. The other turnover in the endzone was just as significant - cost 7 points.

7. Peterman will never be the starter at UT. Not all his fault, the O-Line didn't help him at all, but Worley can make it work and he can't.

8. Having Worley come back into the game and ball out was amazing. So proud of the effort and leadership.

9. Defense is legit. Hard to blame them for the loss - Gurley had over 200 yards and had a career high - that never feels good. But the D was worn down. If UT could have put some points on the board during the 3rd quarter it would have been a different game.

10. Coaching was good. I thought the gameplan was good. Execution at times was not good, but that is how it goes. Lots of breaks that didn't go our way that could have turned the game. We get one of the two fumbles put on the ground by UGA. We get the on side kick. Worley doesn't go out. Peterman doesn't fumble and we kick a FG. Play calling was great in Q1 and Q4. Middle of the game was way too limited.

Florida is up next. I believe we will win.

You're going to get flamed for saying #10. However, I agree with your points.

Just a couple of plays kept us out of the win column...gave up one long Td run and one short drive but overall made the dawgs work for their points...

Agreed. We lost a winnable game, but UGA happens to have a very good football team, too. No sense in hitting any panic buttons.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. It's hard to not be angry though, this game just hurt so much....so much up and down and toying with my emotions. I hate to lose, but realistically I didn't expect to win, it just sucks to be so close and I hate UGA so much.

When they showed uga's schedule, I said to myself "you have got to be kidding me."If Georgia isnt in Atlanta come December, they should just shut it down lol.

Agreed with all your points. Not scoring in the 3rd really hurt us along with taking our foot off the accelerator after scoring 10. Our defense could have used the rest had we extended some drives in the 3rd.

We improved but we are still getting moral victories instead of actual Ws. I see the improvement but it needs to be shown on the field starting this Saturday. Also without worley our offense is BAD

I'd like to add that our kicking and punting game today was improved. Darr was solid and Medley nailed the FG

Now..................think about this...............All this talent returning next year and no quarterback that can throw and complete a ten yard pass. That is something to think about over the cold long winter.

3. Von Pearson needs to return ASAP5
4. Wolf will be the all time catch leader for a TE before his finishes at UT

Jones needs to give some hard thought to our QB situation next year and what he might do to get either Dobbs or Peterman ready. We can't afford yet another bad year because we are breaking in a QB, after breaking in a new OL this year, after breaking in WRs next year. It is freaking time to pull it all together.

Worley couldn't throw a ten yard pass las here according to a lot of posters. A year can make a lot of diffence.

My post game thoughts.. I'll walk a little taller tomorrow, be even prouder of our VOLS and how they played today, living amongst all these smart ass dawg fans they can woof woof all they want but when girly goes down, they'll not have a team.

HATE LOSING BUT IT'S STILL GREAT GO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!!!! We knew coming into this season we are rebuilding and Coach Jones told us it would take time. Give it time.. it's only going to get better!!

Peterman looked his was still playing in last years FL's game rather in today GA's.. Put a fork in him...

I'm surprised that North had only 3 catches for 15 yards--the last six coming very late. Worley spreads the ball around nicely, and we threw it fairly well--but perhaps we could have thrown it better, and IMO North needs more touches. We should be throwing six slants a game to North, IMO. The guy should be a beast on slants--with his size and hands. We should never have three-and-out series with that guy. I think he's being underutilized.

Peterman is still shell shocked. Not sure if he can ever overcome that. Our only hope of going bowling is to keep Worley healthy. If he goes down, our season is over. However, from all reports, Dobbs looks a lot better. The staff wants to redshirt him. If Worley goes down, they need to burn Dobbs redshirt IMO.
