Another year, another great recruiting class, another top 25 ranking, another failure on the big stage. I hope they keep Richt around forever.

On another note, I don't care what any expert thinks, Boise St could be a top 3 SEC team year in and year out if they played in the SEC. Easily the best coached/most disciplined team in the country.

....wait, how's it a choke if they (a team in the like 20s) get beat soundly by a top 5 team...like they probably should have?

On what planet is losing to the #5 team in the country a choke? I think you can say that UGA looks like they have the exact same issues as last year, but I don't see how you call them chokers.

it's not. however the David Pollacks of the world would have you believe otherwise.

They didn't lose the game because they choked. They choked because every year Richt fails to win a meaningful game. If Richt were our coach, the whole fanbase would be calling for his head, kinda like the other guy who used to coach here... hmmmm

Richt was better when he had his gapped teeth...

It's only a choke in the meta sense. But there's no way that an SEC school with as much local talent and resources should get blown out by a team from Idaho. Especially in a virtual home game. I don't care how good a coach Chris Petersen is, that's an embarrassing result.

I run a medium-sized football pool, and I've already had two UGA alums text me tonight to tell me not to send them the sheet anymore this year because they're done with the Bulldogs. Richt has lost his fanbase.

Dead on. Sometimes the truth hurts but you have to accept it.

Like others have said, it's not a choke. Boise is simply the better team. Outside of two big plays by UGA, they did a great job tonight on defense.

Not sure if choke is the right word, but this game carried a lot of weight. As it pertains to Richt (and the added pressure for the rest of the year) next week weights more now.

I really bought into the parallels with our 2006 game when Cal came to visit. Coming off a losing season, teams and fans with a giant chip on the shoulder, playing a national title contender from the other side of the country that isn't used to playing in front of a huge, hostile crowd.....I thought UGA would rise up and smack Boise in the mouth. It's not really the loss that stuns me so much as how lackluster it was.

Big game for Richt next week. If he loses it, do you think he practically has to run the table afterwards?

Tried to tell everybody UGA was gonna get curb stomped....Boise St lives for big stage games...They were clearly a better team....Coaching wise it isn't even close....Peterson is just in a different class than Ritch

Bad thing for Georgia was that all the talk about improvement and a different mentality was just a bunch of talk. They started the game with 2 penalties on their first posession, and played the whole game with little imagination, lack of discipline, and were not very physical. Its the same formula they have had for the past 5 years.

And to think I thought they had a chance to beat Boise..Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of Richt's job...

So right! I wanted Georgia to win tonight and only lose to us UT! the coach made some bone head moves The mis-match was Orsen Charles at Tight end when they went traditional I formation Georgia won! Boise defense was only bring 5 The annoucer said that and the coach went away from it! When Georgia kicked that 55 yard kick I turned to LSU vs Oregon couldn't bare to watch anymore

I heard BSU has something like 18 5th year seniors this year? That's crazy.

It seems that would be the case. The Chickens could very well beat us too. IMO, they have the potential to be the most talented and most balanced offense in the SEC. The way we played last night, we very well could lose to Miss. St., UT, UF, and maybe even Tech.

I'm not really upset about the loss to Boise, I predicted we would lose. I just expected our boys to play alot tougher and make it a closer game. That's what concerns me the most because we could easily end up with 5 losses with that kind of effort last night.

Take nothing away from Boise. I expected those boys to show up. They have very good players and an excellent coaching staff. I have always believed they are for real.

Georgia is so full of crap. Their vain symbolic jestures are a joke.

Having their individual names on the back of their jerseys didn't keep Boise state from tearing them a new one.

There is a thread on DawgRant claiming there will be a Black Out next week in Athens. Any truth to this?

I have not heard anything about that. I think our fanbase is sick of that already, so I find it hard to believe to be honest with you. We want to see them play GA football again.
