While I could never root for my Dawgs to lose an SEC title game I, like a lot of my fellow UGA fans, knew in our hearts that LSU was the much better team and deserved to win the SEC. We hung in with them in the first half but they made great adjustments (and we shot ourselves in the foot a few times) and they poured it on in the second half. I think we'll be a better team for it next season as we have basically the whole team coming back. Now I'm a little mixed as to who I want to win the NC. I'm convinced that LSU and Bama should play, but you're supposed to root for the team that beat you, right? I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that Vol fans will be rooting against Bama. :whistling:

I will be rooting for a giant sinkhole to open up and swallow the superdome and everyone in it. and no, that's not a hurricane Katrina reference.

Against Bama for sure. Lsu proved they deserved it this yr IMHO. Should be a good game. Kinda wish a little that OkSU didn't lose to ISU cause that would be a good game but they don't deserve to go cause frankly they lost to ISU.

Btw - from ur prospective what changes does UGA need to fix/improve for next yr for u to think they maximize success?

I want to see a rematch as neither team could score a touchdown against the other first time out. I don't believe 'Bama will lose twice to them this year. Who am I pulling for, either way is fine .... just keep it in the SEC.

I hate LSU with an intense passion. With that said it's stupid they've got to play BAMA again. They've proved themselves time and time again. IMO there shouldn't be a national championship game. LSU should've won it last night.

Oklahoma St. would get smashed by LSU. I laughed last night when the Oklahoma St. coach asked would you rather see a 9-7 game or a 39-36 game. I know he likes his team but putting up 39 on LSU. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Alabama is the only one i see that can beat LSU.

Wise words. You have to earn a shot at the NC and OK St. came up short.

I think the problems we had this season stemmed from the fact that we couldn't consistently run the ball against teams like LSU, and we had breakdowns on special teams that cost us against USCe. Our O-line did a great job of pass protection, but they need to work on their assignments when we're trying to run the ball. We have the biggest O-line, college or pro. Maybe they're too big? If we can get Samuel back healthy at RB, it will really help us a lot next season. He runs north and south and can break tackles. The jury's still out on Crowell. Best of luck next season, 'cept for that one game. :p

I'm glad that Coach Richt is going to be there a while longer. He's a good man.

Can't say I disagree.

LSU should be given the trophy today. Bama shouldn't be given another shot after losing at home to LSU and no other team has a resume worthy of a National Championship.

If Bama and LSU do play again, I hope someone from the Red side knocks the 'holy honey' out of the Badger. That alone is worthy of me recording that game.
