Wise words. You have to earn a shot at the NC and OK St. came up short.
I think the problems we had this season stemmed from the fact that we couldn't consistently run the ball against teams like LSU, and we had breakdowns on special teams that cost us against USCe. Our O-line did a great job of pass protection, but they need to work on their assignments when we're trying to run the ball. We have the biggest O-line, college or pro. Maybe they're too big? If we can get Samuel back healthy at RB, it will really help us a lot next season. He runs north and south and can break tackles. The jury's still out on Crowell. Best of luck next season, 'cept for that one game.
This, being my first post, I hate to be all mean, but I think the problems with UGA this season stemmed off more than the fact of not being able to run against teams like LSU. That's the most asinine statement I have ever read. How about it stemmed off of the fact that UGA didn't play any other team even on LSU's level, so you never have played a team like LSU until last night. Boise State beat UGA down because their passing game was awesome and UGA's defense wasn't ready, South Carolina beat UGA because UGA shot themselves in the foot. The dawgs would then rip off 10 in a row, they almost lost to Vandy, they played Florida with a returning Brantley who had a gimp ankle and was beating UGA by a bunch until UGA figured out that he couldn't move in the pocket. UGA fans then started boasting about beating a quality Auburn team, what a joke, Auburn sucks. The reason UGA was beat like a drum last night is because they played that soft schedule, then they met LSU face to face in the dome and got a reality check. The only reason UGA's defensive ranking was that high was again because of a soft schedule. Please don't give me that crap neither about how LSU didn't get much in the first half, because, that's LSU all year, not much in the first half, then they go on a 24-0, 31-0, 42-0 run. That's what they did last night for the millionth time, they scored 42 unanswered, why? LSU is badass, they are fast, they will hit you in the mouth, and their talent is better than anyone in the country. UGA never was good this year, they played a soft schedule, and once again, THEY GOT A REALITY CHECK.
