Sturdivant #77.

Either way, 3 ACL tears? Who coaches the OL down there? Seems like every year they're decimated.

As a Florida fan that neither condones this or any rejoicing at injury, Alabama got dealt a delicious dose of karma that day (Prothro's broken leg) when they were still throwing deep up by that many points.

Curse of the 2007 end zone dance and karma for taking out Terron Sanders' knee in that very same game.

You Gators are big on karma injuries. And you wonder why other fan bases hate you guys. It must be jealousy, right?

The karma thing works both ways.

Again, if Brandon Spikes suffered a career ending eye injury, UGA fans would be justified in not giving a damn.

We had a lineman Mo Mitchell who was a notoriously dirty player. He was a personal foul waiting to happen, and he saved his worst for FSU. Had Mo suffered some injury on the field, FSU fans would have been justified in not giving a damn.

If you were completely honest with yourself, you'd admit most of the hatred towards UF is more a by product of UF's success than anything else.

There do seem to be reports of UGA linemen suffering season ending injuries every year before the season even starts. Maybe it's just terrible luck, but if I were UGA I'd start analyzing how linemen are practicing and training.

or it could be the classless way you present yourselves in celebrating a college player's injury

Nope. It's an obnoxious fan trying to gator chomp my wifes head when she was 4 months pregnant. It's gator supporters being happy an opponent tore his acl. I tore mine twice and don't want to see it happen to anyone because their dreams may be shot in a second. Obviously, you never stepped on a competitive field because athletes don't wish that on anyone. People don't like ignorance concocted with arrogance and UF fans seem to do it best, as you continue to show.

Who's happy the kid got injured?

Go back and read my posts, and if you still don't get it, that's on you.

Sturdivant intentionally injured a UF player's knee back in 2007. That's the first thing I think of when I hear Sturdivant's name. I feel for the kid having to go through rehab a third time, and I hope like hell he's on track to graduate.

Just don't expect me to care as much as a UGA fan does. If you want to call that "being happy" a rival player is hurt, then have at it. I'm sure all of you were equally concerned as I was when Tebow got knocked out in Lexington....spare me the classless BS.

As far as your UF fan horror stories, I've been coming to Neyland since '94, and there's no shortage of a-hole fans in Knoxville...ditto for Athens, Columbia, Tuscaloosa, Fayetteville, Oxford, Tallahassee and Auburn.

And as far as my athletic background goes pl3, let's just say you lack complete information.

So now I'm "wishing" injury on a rival player.

Your use of hyperbole is noted.

No, technically, not wished, celebrated, or hoped for. But, all the posts in this thread were of the "awe shucks", "that sucks", or "hope he fully recovers" variety, then you chime in that it's karma for celebrating a touchdown and injuring a Gator.

Your lack of class is also noted.

It's like you're intentionally trying not to get it.

My perspective....

No, I understand your perspective. He celebrates a touchdown in way you didn't like and hurts one of your team's players. I get it. I'm not here to change your mind. My point is, to post in a thread where everyone is commenting about how awful his injury is, that "it's karma", is classless. It's like if I tell an awesome "get in the kitchen" joke in front of a bunch of my wife's friend. It may be hilarious, but it's not a very classy thing to do.

You are entitled to your opinion, and I can live with your opinion of my initial post.
