fortunately, some of the Dems knew they'd be run out of office at the next chance. Unfortunately, we don't approach congress that way over typical spending shenanigans because the info is convoluted.

Is there money to made in putting together a watchdog that makes simple spreadsheets of spending, by line items and puts earmarks where they originated? Just so people know?

He blew his wad getting that enormous payback bill through and then doubled down on some gub'mint cheese with some free healthcare, which was tax neutral.

Obama and Boehner had worked out a deal to cut $4 trillion in spending and raise revenues by half that amount. Together, that would have cut the overall deficit by almost half. Boehner was on board.

But when he went back to the caucus, the TPers raised Holy Hell because a) it gave Obama a victory on the economy and b) raised taxes on their cronies and political financiers.

Interesting that Boehner tells a different story - that Obama changed the terms at the end.
