That makes no sense.........

Why would any one think that Obama would not be able to win the general election?

I do not agree with his policies but I am not foolish enough to discredit what he has done by securing the dem nomination.

:dunno:

That's my point, many do think that Obama can or will win this election, therfore bringing out more negative comments from people that don't want to see that.

He is mainly controversial to the people voting against him, not everyone.

I am not voting against him. If you look at what he states in his book, then compare that with some of the messages he has on his web site, you could only come to the conclusion that he is being disingenuous at best. When you add his ties to people of questionable backgrounds it would seem to me that any reasonable person would see through the false facade.

Are you saying these "negative" comments have no basis?

Look how much John McCain has changed in the last few years. He was known as a maverick and even considered becoming an independent at one point and now he wants everyone to believe he is a full fledged conservative. Is he being disingenuous? If so why doesn't he get any slack and if not what's the difference between him and Obama?

The troops we have there now are sufficient. Why would Obama put more troops in Afghan?

I didn't say "troops", I said resources. By resources I am referring to more of the special forces and "black ops".

I realize simply sending additional troops isn't necessarily the answer. My point being that it is absurd to think Obama isn't going to use military force when NECESSARY.

It depends on if it's an honest question or a cheap shot. If someone is still unsure about Obama being a Muslim than it's fair to ask, if someone is bringing it up knowing full well that he is not Muslim than it's a cheap shot.

I agree with you here. My problem with Obama currently is his statement that he is not and never has been a practicing Muslim when his brother and school records in Indonesia seem to point to the contrary. I have no doubt that Obama is a Christian. I just think he is being deceitful about his past in that regard.

Seal Team Six and Marine Force Recon are doing just fine.

exactly. See Jimmy Carter, who was likely a hawk compared to Obama.
