They look too much like the colors on jockeys in the Kentucky Derby, now if that was the intent, then I say okay!

UK was the only SEC team with blue helmets. Now a third of the conference has white helmets, and UK plays two of the other three teams every year. The blue helmets were unique and it created contrast between UK and its opponents.

UT should be flattered about the checkerboard design. :)

i like them, but the blue helmets were better. i didn't like the last ones with the basketball jersey piping.

okay, that does it. if Kentucky can get those, we could get them no problem if we jumped on board with nike. I say we get on board with Nike, they're obviously the hot label right now. it helps with publicity AND recruiting, admit it.

totally prepared to have this merged with the billion other uniform threads, btw.

I don't really see why people like those. They look disgusting. We are Tennessee.. One of the historic dominant programs... we need to keep our uniforms the same. The traditional powers (UT, Alabama, USC, ND, Michigan) keep their uni as a tradition. Let's stay Tennessee. That's how I feel.

All the teams you just named have worn pro combats. They just didn't make huge changes.

I know Notre Dame hasn't, they have Adidas. And I'm talking about changes in the jersey, Helmet, pants, etc.

They both do. And neither of them are as horrible as most pro combat uniforms are.

I'd be fine switching to Nike as long as they don't try to make us wear some horrific trash for our biggest games.

UK's new uniforms may be the Pro Combat material (which is what Pro Combat really is), but I'm pretty sure the pictures that have been released are going to be worn on every road trip.

I remember last year when Miami and Va. Tech played didn't know who was who until it showed a close up.
