UK v LOUISVILLE

Both are too hyped up with emotion right now.

This is the primary reason for what was a crappy game all the way around. Had UK come out of the gates like they did against NC/UConn this would have been a 25-30 point game at halftime. These kids kid so hyped up, you can see it drain the IQ from their brains.

In the second half both teams ended up finding their games. Louisville with the press and 3's, UK with the inside game.

Not much can be said that was great about this game, but the one thing we continue to take away from this season, is that this team can close a game and grind out wins. This was our worst outing of the season from behind the 3 point arc. Miller and Dodson were 0-game behind the arc, and Dodson had MULTIPLE looks at the basket.

It was a sloppy, hard fought rivalry game. Glad to come out with a W.

The elbow Cousins threw doesn't surprise me at all. The kid is a straight up thug.

The elbow is not inexcusable, no way around it. But that fight started in the tunnel and in the lay-up lines far before the game started. Pushing, shoulder bumping, and trash talking all proceeded the game. It was a deliberate game plan to try and get in Cousins head, which obviously isn't to hard, and not a bad idea for opposing teams. In this case, it kind of backfired.

Myself, I was glad to see the enforcer type attitude that he has. Its been missing at UK for awhile now.

It must be the headband. UK fans have been saying that about players from other schools for years.

Which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Someone started a thread on a UK board I visit this spring/summer after we signed this class. At that time both Bledsoe and Cousins had headbands.

The thread title ( I kid you not) was "What are we going to do about the headband problem". Some people can't get out of their own way, if you get my meaning.
