Sorry.
A KO to their at-large hopes.

But, if they don't get a bye, I don't see them beating four teams in four days with two players.
Georgia did it last year with one player.

They can still get an at-large if we pull out a win saturday - will PP be back?

True. But, 7-5 in the SEC with LSU and trips to Columbia and Gainesville still on the schedule, along with a lousy RPI and SOS, would be difficult to overcome. Not impossible, but very difficult.

Yeah, I know, but everybody in the SEC guns for KY in basketball. It would be a remarkable accomplishment if they pulled it off.
They may only need a deep run and not a title to get in the field though.

The worst-case scenario for us is that a loss this week wouldn't be a killer, thanks to the help.
I'd love to win both games though.

Sundiata Gaines. What became of him? I do think, though, that the Bulldogs were giving 200% effort to try to save Dennis Felton's job, succeeding in only buying him a third of a season.

I'm pretty sure they had to play the latter stages of both of their Saturday wins without Gaines.

Ahh, the Fellowship of the Gloating Vultures! ;)

Kentucky will be fine as soon as Patterson gets back. I think that last night proved that UK needs Patterson against more physical teams.

That was my thoughts exactly when Kentucky lost was that it kind of gave us some breathing room. Now if we were to split games this week we wouldnt be out of the running. I still really want to win both games this week, and obviously if we were able to then we would be in great shape but that loss by UK did indeed give us some breathing room.

still most important is to beat Kentucky. It is a tough stretch of road eastern division games. and if all equal after head to head then goes eastern division rceord. and beating KY would put us in great shape seeing as FL and KY both lost to eastern division opponents we swept in Georgia and Vandy

Does anyone know how long Patterson is going to be out? That could be the biggest determining factor in how we do at KY on Saturday.

He'll be back with a much improved finger.

That AU loss is a killer.

We definitely need to win tonight, and should, depending on which team shows up.

I have little confidence that we can go to Rupp and win.

I would tend to agree but this team has been playing better of late. Between that and Patterson not being 100% could be the equalizer, we just have to keep a hand in Meeks face and not give him a great look. Granted he will still hit many of those shots.

I find it interesting that both of the teams UT blew out at home last week bounced back for a home win over an East leader.

KY always seems to bring its A+ game when they play us, and we're going to get hosed by the officials at Rupp. We'll have to be at our best.

McCat, as a UK alum I've always liked and pulled for UK BB (at least since my days there with Ricky P).

However, I just can't get behind them these days - maybe it's Billy G, maybe it's the players (although they are pretty non-descript), maybe it's Pearl-ball.

I found myself pulling hard against them last night. I loved Pitino and was a Tubbs fan too. These days, not so much.

After further review, provided that we don't KO KY, Miss. State will have a chance to KO us.
